My name is Bart Straver.
I've been part of Mysteryland since 2006.
In this time, I've worked as director of pyrotechnics.
To me, my personal Mysteryland highlight
has to be the Mysteryland 2009 main stage final show.
During setup that week, we had massive problems with the weather.
What's worse, the rain on Friday and Saturday ruined
all the fireworks.
My colleague said,
"Guys, what's the plan?
Cause we're going to fix this."
So we drove a van to Belgium and Germany
to get new fireworks.
I'd never done something like this before, so I was really nervous.
Eventually, the display kicked off
and - incredibly - it went well. Everything ran smoothly.
And when the climax of the display exploded with a boom,
it was a very special moment and such a release for me.
It's something that I'll always remember.
My goal is to make it look like the whole stage is on fire.
So that people don't believe their eyes.
My Mysteryland moment is when I press the button to start the final show.
And people don't think about the party or anything else,
but only consider the moment and each other.
How great the moment is.
And I hope that they take it with them, maybe for life,
but at least until the next year.
