As a kid - 10 years old I saw a magician performing on my mother`s birthday.
And what he did I liked so much. I wanted to do the same.
I started to train for hours. I trained 8, 10 hours a day.
I trained in the school under the table and could not get enough of it.
But I knew I had to rehearse so much because I wanted to become the best magician.
It was clear that this was a special hobby. And in the meantime - my job.
With magic a lot of things come togehter.
Of course it is talent. It is art, skill but also a lot of technology.
What I do is I imagine how the illusion should look like from a spectators point of view
and then I work backwards from this point and see which trick-technical possiblities I find to start with my drawings..
and then I just build it.
I am a qualified banker.
The reason is basically
that my parents said you have to do something decent.
And my mother found that if I wanted to become a magician I have to pay for the illusions somehow...
And to do that I need a job.
The collegues in the bank were big fans of my magic and of course I was always asked..
Oh - how does he do that?
There were lots of comments that I should not make the money disappear and so on.
He was chaotic. He was simply nice chaotic :-)
I was offered the opportunity to something together, a big project with Red Bull and the Flying Steps.
Inventing illusions that are connected with breakdance.
Things that I did not think about before.
There are dancers that never had to rely on technical equipment but only on their body.
Somebody who says I put my life on an idea that Florian Zimmer had at one point..
that is a big deal.
