Hi, I'm George Poulos from OpticsPlanet, and we're having a great time here, out at the
Recordbuck Ranch in beautiful Utopia,
Texas.
I'm here with Tom Knudtson, who's the Weaver Product Manager. I had
an opportunity to use the new Weaver Grand Slam 10x50's this morning.
I like this binocular a great deal, and Tom has been kind enough to
offer
some more technical points about the binocular itself. -You bet, thanks George.
First of all, it's good to see again, and thank you for having me.
Just a few key features about the binocular.
As you can tell from the sleek design, it's a roof prism design,
fits very well on your hand as you mentioned.
All the touch points have a texture to them, so as George mentioned,
they're really tactile, they feel good in your hands.
We've got twist-up eye cups,
so if you do press them against your face, they don't collapse.
Twist up, twist down. Twist down if you use them with glasses. -They work great with my glasses
and without. -Absolutely, twist up without glasses.
It's BAK4 prism, so it's an excellent prism glass,
fully multi-coated, excellent coatings.
So really anybody from a beginner to an advanced hunter could use these.
You can glass for a long time without eyestrain because they are a
very good coating, very good glass.
You can see the center focus ***, the diopter adjustment.
So these binoculars really have all the bells and whistles of more expensive
binoculars on the marketplace at nice price point. -Excellent.
The tripod adapter as well, so if you want to mount it,
just a nice, rigid mount, if you're a birder,
just a nature lover, for spectator sport, whatever.
They work great for many many applications. -You bet.
Tom, thanks again. I really appreciate you spending a few minutes with me. Once
again, that's the Weaver Grand Slam 10x50 binocular, available here at OpticsPlanet.
