how to register for classes in PAWS.
Once you open your internet browser,
please type in www.eiu.edu.
Next, under "Current Students," please click on PAWS.
Please choose "Login to PAWS."
Please type in your EIU net ID and password.
At the main menu please choose "Student."
From the student main menu please choose "Registration."
Read through the policy, and click continue at the bottom.
Please make sure your addresses are correct and hit "Addresses
are Correct-Continue to Registration."
You are now at the registration main menu.
Please select "Look up Classes."
Select the term that you want to register for and hit "submit."
For online classes you want to highlight all of the subjects,
from Accounting all the way down to Women's Studies.
Under "Schedule Type" please highlight "Internet."
Leave everything else as "All," and hit "Class Search"
at the bottom left.
What comes up is the list of all the internet courses, even those
that are closed.
Scroll through the list to search
for a class that you want.
The C to the left hand side means the course is closed.
A check box means the course has seat availability.
To find out more about a class, please click
on the blue CRN number.
Next, please click on "View Catalog Entry."
This will give you a course description.
Return to previous to get back to any previous menu.
If this is a course you would like to register, please put the
check mark in the box.
At the bottom of the page, hit "Register."
You are now registered for an online course.
Hit "Class Search" to register for more classes.
I will now show you how to register for a face-to-face
course at one of our off-campus locations.
Again, please highlight all of the subjects.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
Under "Attribute Type" you may find in this list the locations
where Eastern Illinois University
brings off-campus courses.
Choose your location and highlight it.
Those are the only two areas to change, everything else stays as
"All" then hit "Class Search."
The list that comes up will be all of the classes found at the
location of your choice.
To register for a course put a check mark in the
box and click on "Register."
You are now registered for classes.
