Hello everybody, my name is Tasha and welcome to Heart of Tarts. Today on the show we will be making a Doc McStuffins Tart.
I love that little cartoon and how she helps out all her stuffed animal friends just like we are going to help ourselves to this
chocolate tart. We are going to start preheating our oven to 350 degrees F. Next we are going to make our crust
by adding 1 1/2 cups old fashion oats to a food processor along with 1/4 cup raisins, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon
cinnamon. Blend that all together until it forms a flour and then we are going to add in our liquid ingredients.
3 tablespoon coconut oil along with 1/4 cup water.
Pulse that together until it is just combined. You want everything to be evenly moistened and clumped together,
but you do not want it to be blended all out. You see how chunky that is?
Put it in the oven and bake it for 15 minutes at 350 degrees F and it will be browned and dry.
While it is baking and cooling we are going to make our filling.
I am adding two bananas to the food processor. I am going to leave out a couple of slices.
Like a small 1 inch segment from the middle of one of the bananas and all the rest goes in.
Along with one avocado. Blend that til it forms a puree and now you are going to see me add in
about 3 teaspoons of cocoa powder through the sprout and it turns a nice light brown color.
With that light brown color, I am going to add about 1/3 of it to my tart crust and spread it around the
the bottom half. I am going to smear a little bit all over, but the bulk
of it is going to stay in the bottom half of the tart pan.
I am going to add about 3 more teaspoons of cocoa powder to that mixture in the food processor
and that is going to be our hair. So you want to kind of just lobe it on each side.
Because she has these two swoops. He bangs are so delicate and girly. I wore my hair up until
like high school. I think as a grown woman I still wear my hair swooped to the side a little like this.
I am going to take a knife. This butter knife has a couple of little divots in it, so you can really make some hair marks.
As you can see, I am making her purple headband out of grapes and the other day when
I opened that pomelo, that is exactly what this fruit is (I have taken a little piece of a segment)
for her flower, I was mad that it was not a ruby red grapefruit color but I heard that is rare.
So I am not mad anymore. She just has a yellow flower instead of a pink flower.
Those bananas that I told you to save out, I cut into almond shapes for her eyes and I am dotting them with raisins for pupils.
So simple. Here I am trying my best with a knife to take a little remaining hair mixture to create the dark nostrils
of her nose, but I do not know how to make a nose.
I still think it looks button-y cute, but I will work on that.
I tried to do the same thing for her smile just using a knife to smear it on but he smile is way too cute for that.
As you can see, I am trying to wipe it off and in the midst of me trying to wipe it off you can see how fast that top layer
of her face mixture is oxidizing.
It is so much darker now. It is like the same color as her hair. Why did I even try?
Because her skin is a little lighter than her darker hair.
I kept it moving. I added her pigtail directly to the plate after I removed the tart from the tart pan and
just added it to a white circular plate. It kinda worked out. You can kinda see the pigtails.
I could have done a better job, but I think I fixed it up nice. And they are so cute.
So looks so adorable and I love the way this turned out.
Hopefully you will too. If you did, give this video a like and subscribe to my channel. Bye.
