Hi! This is Jon from Expertvillage.com and we will continue with step 7 of our procedure
for changing brake pads on disc brakes. After removing the caliper bolts from the back of
the caliper, the caliper should slide or right off. You want to make sure that you suspend
the caliper housing so that you don’t damage the brake hose going into the caliper housing.
Typically, I’ll use a bungee cord, or a piece of coat hanger works just as well. Here
we have the two brake pads hooked onto the caliper, that outboard brake pad has that
wear sensor that’s the one that’s on the outside of the router or the outside of your
car. The inboard brake pad is on the inside of your router towards the inside of your
car.
