Hey guys my name is Caitlin and welcome back to Cait Straight Up. Happy Cino De Mayo! it
is one of the funnest drinking and food holidays of the year and in honor of this amazing fun
festive holiday we are going to make today a delicious pineapple Jalapeño Margarita.
To start this margarita we are going to have to make a simple syrup out of 1/4 of a cup
of sugar and 1/4 of a cup of water. We are going to add some chopped Jalapeños to our
syrup and after one minute remove from heat completely and let it sit on the side while
you make the rest of your Margarita. That simple syrup is going and its time to get
the rest of our stuff in our blender or in my case my ninja bullet juice maker, Hey has
multiple purposes this thing. So we are starting with about two cups of some large chunks of
pineapple. The key to every great margarita, a really good tequila. So I like to use a
clear tequila, I got Hornitos here and then we are going to add a third of a cup of Cointreau
which is kind of like a liquor but that is just going to really bring this thing home.
Now we are allowing some time for that spicy fund Jalapeño flavor to go into our simple
syrup, which we are eventually going to add to our mixture. But until them we are just
going to use the juice of a whole lime because we want this, we want this pineapple jalapeño
margarita to really, we want to feel the party if you know what I mean. We allowed some time
for our syrup to cool and now we are just going to strain out our Jalapeños so that
we can add that nice, nice spicy sugar into our drink. Go ahead and pour that into your
blender and its time to get this bad boy rocking. I am just going to add a couple of ice cubes
here to top it off so its nice and cool when its blended all together. This recipe makes
two margarita's so you can have one with a friend. Ready guys three two one party time!
Now who is going to drink this one with me? oh my god it looks fantastic. I feel like
I am on the islands. Subscribe to Cait Straight Up for more fun recipes every tuesday, if
