Good afternoon Mustangs!
I'm Megan!
And I'm Wes!
And this is your West News.
Today is Wednesday, November 20th, 2013.
The low tomorrow is expected to be 18 degrees and the
high should be 39 degrees. There are 8" of snow up at
Brundage and 13" at Bogus Basin.
This Friday, November 22nd is Spirit Day! You may wear
West or Borah spirit wear and Jeans!
Now to Jaydon in sports:
Attention student athletes who ride Bus #333 to Borah.
That bus is at capacity and only those student athletes
who returned their "Alternative Site Form" and were
approved will be allowed to ride Bus #333. All other
student athletes will have to provide their own
transportation. Mr. Standlee will be at the bus today with a
roster of students who are approved to ride the bus. If you
are not sure if your form was turned in on time, please
check with Mr. Standlee.
If you are interested in skiing or snowboarding, come join
the West Snowriders. Meetings start the Tuesday after
Thanksgiving break in Mrs. Souden's room. Snowriders is
open to all 7th, 8th and 9th graders. Plan on coming to our
first meeting Tuesday December 3rd in room 209. We'll go
over the basics of participating and the forms that need to
be filled out before the holiday break to start racing in
January.
There is no open gym this Saturday or next Saturday.
Now back to the studio.
Happy birthday to Casey Robinson, Cesar Carino, Drake
Starr-Ball, Eleanor Webber, Jasmine Hlinka, and Alexis
Hanzel!
Last Saturday, a cheerful crew from the West National
Junior Honor Society came out on the first snowy day of
the year to rake the yard of a grateful senior citizen during
Rake Up Boise. This annual city event gives West teens
an opportunity to serve their community and eat donuts!
Thank you to Mr. Muir, Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Proctor and all
the students who participated!
All music students who sold Butter Braids should get
them during 9th period Wednesday, Nov. 20th...wait that's
today! Get them today in room #122. Hey Megan, how
many did you sell? Five. How many did YOU sell? Three.
We better get down there and get them picked up to
deliver before they thaw!
The quote of the day is from our very own Ben Fouch. He
said, "With the bells not working at West this week, but
the students still getting to class on time, each student
should win the "No-Bell" prize." So, thanks for your
cooperation this week Mustangs!
This is Megan!
And Wes!
Stay classy West Jr. High!
