The next step to shampooing is to rinse the hair. You want to rinse all the product and
everything out of it. They may have oils or conditioners or gels or anything in their
hair. You want to make sure that you get rid of all that before you start shampooing. You
also want to make sure that you always keep the nozzle away from the face of the customer
so that their face doesn't get splashed with water of course. So turn it that way and turn
it on. Adjust the heat setting, temperature setting before you put it on the head. And
you want to try to use a high water force so you can make sure you get everything out
of the hair. Once you get your temperature adjusted to something that's comfortable for
the customer then you want to begin rinsing. Sometimes the temperature changes so you want
to do this for a few minutes first to make sure the temperature is not going to change
and get too hot or cold for the customer and then begin rinsing starting at the base, the
front of the head, going across then going around the sides. You want to make sure that
the customer keeps their neck down in the groove of the sink so that they don't get
wet. So if they keep their neck pressed against the bottom this will keep the water from going
down their backs. You want to make sure you thoroughly rinse every part of the hair of
the head.
