Hi, I'm Meredith Hodges and welcome to the Lucky Three Ranch.
I get a lot of letters and emails from people with training and behavior questions about their equines.
So I'm going to take you back to the beginning with a series of training tips that work for
all equines.
Understanding the importance of a routine feeding schedule is critical for your equine's
health and happiness.
Your equine's turnout time on pasture serves two important purposes.
First, it allows him to stretch his body in a completely natural state and if you have
more than one equine, it allows for socialization and bonding.
It also gives your animal access to the natural grasses he needs and time to graze at his
own leisure.
But remember -- moderation and consistency are key.
Limit pasture time by starting with one hour a day and over several weeks, and work up
to the maximum limit of 5 hours per day.
Pasture grazing is crucial to your equine's physical and mental health and a chance for
you to experience the pure beauty of your equine at play!
