Hey guys, Brendan Wenzel here coming to you from the beaches of Costa Rica.
And I wanted to make this video today with the intention of helping small business owners
a little bit with a piece of advice for their social media and online marketing.
One of the biggest pieces of advice I can give you is to be interactive. Don't just
be a one-way broadcasting system.
Nobody wants to connect with somebody who's just talking at them. They want to talk to
someone who's talking with them.
And this really came to mind because I had this person... I went to this place called
father rooster up in playa ocotal, it's a little beachfront restaurant, and I left the
review for them on tripadvisor.
And I've left like 25 reviews on trip advisor, but I've never had an owner personally write
me to thank me for leaving a review for them and to tell me to make sure that I asked for
them the next time I am there because they want to give me a beer to talk to me and you
know just enjoy my company.
I've never had that before and I thought that was a very interesting way of soliciting me
to come back and for thanking me for leaving the review in the first place.
And the same with Facebook. People are always commenting on your posts on Facebook. Reply
to their comments. Let them know that not only did you see it, but you enjoyed what
they said.
It'll take you a whole lot further than just posting stuff all the time and pretending
that those people don't really exist.
It will allow them to reach that next level of the know like and trust factor.
That's my advice for small business owners out there. Heed this advice and if you do
it's going to really help take your online marketing to the next level for your small
business.
Alright, I hope you guys have a wonderful day. I look forward to talking to you soon.
