High voter turnout for the constitution referendum in Zamalek
Ibrahim al-Kerdany, media professional
The line is moving slowly,
but we’re here because we have
to say what we think.
I object to the way the constitution
was prepared and I did not want
the referendum to be held now.
But since the referendum was conducted
then all Egyptians have to say what they think.
This referndum is a turning point.
I just hope Egypt will be a safe place.
I just fear the breakout of clashes
at polling states like what happened
in Alexandria yesterday.
Such violence is rejected.
Yousry Nasrallah, film director
This is a polling station in Zamalek
so violations and rigging are unlikely to happen.
It is important that other more sensitive areas
have a smooth vote.
I just hope the day ends without violence.
Abdel Moneim al-Halawany
I haven’t seen such high turnout
in any previous polls.
The process is well-secured,
and voting was easy.
It is just crowded.
