-Ok, so we are inside of Zion Prospector and we’re talking to Taylor, how are you doing,
Taylor? -We’re doi ng good!
-Kind of surprised you, didn’t I? -Yeah
-Well don’t worry about it, you’re going to do fine. So, how long have you guys been
in business? -About 13 years.
-Really? So you’re obviously doing pretty well.
-Yeah, we’re doing pretty good. Better this spring, this is our third location.
-Is it? -Yeah.
-This is like the best rock shop in town, do you have any others?
-No, this is our only one, we’re thinking about branching out a little bit. We’re
kind of just in the stage of trying to figure out what to do next right now.
-Really? Well, I think you’re doing really well. So what do your customers really like?
-ummm, all the Utah stuff, really. These Tiffany Stones behind us, it’s really rare, it’s
only around here in Utah. My dad’s the main dealer of it, that’s a big thing. It’s
really all just the Utah gems and minerals. -It’s got to come out of a mine I take it?
-yeah, there’s just open pit mines and we just go collect it ourselves.
-Cool, cool. Oh, and you mentioned the Sandstone? -Sandstone that’s a really good one because
it shows off what Zion National Park is, Sandstone everywhere.
-And these are made by hand I take it? -yeah, it’s sandblasted.
-Sandblasted, oh yeah. Very cool. You have a gallery going on back there?
-Yeah, that’s Jared Stephan, he has his own gallery, it’s just in the same building.
-Oh cool. So what else, are we missing anything? -No, we’re missing the customers being in
here. -Pretty women, can't beat that! Ok Taylor,
thanks a lot! -Yeah, you're welcome!
