Hi, it's Tyrone from Tyroneshum.com and welcome to the dedicated channel where I help you
with outsourcing and automation.
All right, what I wanted to share with you today is my February monthly report. And,
February's just ended and I usually want to be able to portray to you and show you exactly
what's happened over that month.
In January you saw an excellent month for me, and I shared with you what was going on.
Now in February, I'll have to say it was a little bit of a change for me. You know the
pace at where I was going was like that in January. In February, it was sort of like
that, it was just mould.
Now, I'm not saying that nothing happened in February but what was happening in February
was just basically a few changes here and there and also just consistency of work. So
anyway, first thing I want to do is to share with you the major change that I think you'll
notice from my blog was a complete revamp of the Tyroneshum.com blog. And, you'll probably
notice that I've gone sort of a little bit of a secret agent type of style.
I hadn't really launched it as of February because I didn't really do it. I only put
it up there and changed up the theme around about towards the end of February and early
March which is when I actually told people which is right now that I've changed the blog.
So that's the first thing you'll notice. And the reason for the change is one, I was going
back to simplicity. I wanted to just clear out all the clutter because I felt that in
my first design or my original design before this one was that I had a lot of stuff on
there. I had the heading, I had ah - advertisements on the right. Just all the stuff. I mean even
though it was okay, it was still in my opinion, very cluttered so I've gone a very simple
look. I've just mainly focused everything in the middle, I've brought the video up and
just want to focus on providing content and value. I've removed all advertising so you
won't see any adverts on my blog anymore. Second thing as well, too is on the right
hand side, I just made it very simple and I want to focus on teaching people how to
outsource. So you'll notice on the right hand sidebar, there is a "How To Outsource". And
check that article out because that is a very, very - very in-depth article which is over
1500 words that I wrote specifically for that and gives you step by step on how I outsource
and links back to all those resources and tools and also instructions on what to do.
So that was a really, really major big change for the blog and I might - goals for this
blog for the rest of the year is just to provide absolute value and content. I'm not - my intentions
are not going to be looking at promoting advertising on that blog. I'll probably might be recommending
a few tools but I'm going back to simplicity and I just want to provide value and also
give you content from what I learn.
So that's the first thing, blog change on that. That was the major thing that was changed.
Second thing, is that we continue to work on our niches. We have 10 niches that we selected
and we're currently working on 5 of them. The other 5 are sort of sitting right now
and I will get to them soon but as I want to focus on these first ones. We just want
to bring them up to the ranking. And the great thing that has happened over the month is
that we have been consistent which is putting content in there and monitoring and building
backlinks and just driving traffic to that website. We haven't monetized there as yet,
but we are going too soon hopefully by next month. Say probably around about April, I'd
say that's what's going to happen. But the great thing is that three of the niches are
currently on page 1 of Google which is great result and we're starting to see some traffic
from there. And two of them are either on thesecond and third page of Google and they're
still moving up which is fantastic and I'm very, very happy for my team to do that. So
- you know, congratulations to them. So that's the second thing that's been happening. It's
also part of my yearly goals as I said. By the end of 2011, my goal's to have 10 of these
niche websites all on page 1 of Google generating income. So we are gradually moving there so
that's why I say it was more consistency this month rather than any seeing income growth
or anything like that.
I guess the third thing as well, too is as I mentioned at the beginning of this video,
a change in what was going on in the business. This month, I've been deciding to put in a
little bit of different systems in place. As you know I've been using ActiveCollab for
quite some time as my project management system and I felt that it was a really good system
and very easy to use and simple to put in. But the problem was one, I guess on the server
that's on is quite slow and two, I felt that everything that's all stored in there was
getting too much. And - I think the problem that I found was that my - myself and also
- yeah myself wasn't getting onto the system to put things because I find it a bit hard
to do and I wanted to find an easier system where I can just send in an email and pop
into the system. So what I've done is I've decided to go a different route. I recommend
BasecampHQ and that's what I've done. I've got an account with BasecampHQ, I've set that
up and also too, I'm using Dropbox as a place to store my training and also all the videos
that I have for what to do and documentation and everything like that. And I've taken Lastpass
which I've been anywhere for a long time just to store all our log in information and to
share that with the virtual staff. So I pretty much changed the system and built into there.
And the reason why also too I'm focusing on using Basecamp is - as I've mentioned I am
looking to develop and iPhone and iPad app and it will really make sense for me to be
able to build one if I did use the system specifically for that. So that's sort of a
little bit of a hint there that that's where I'm going with that. Overall, I found that
Basecamp is much, much easier to use and a lot faster because I'm using their service
so I can understand why it's a big change. And I'm gradually migrating all our systems
and projects over there and down the track I'll probably be showing you exactly how the
whole layout works.
Okay, that's the - that's the change that's been sort of going on for this month and I'm
hoping to see what are these changes in place from March and the rest of the year, things
would just continue to grow because the changing systems right now just requires me to either
take myself a little bit more out of the business and also have these systems better setup.
Now, I've been working a lot of hours in the business because the fact is that I enjoy
doing it but also too, at the same time I've been putting in a lot of time to develop a
lot more systems. I'm not perfect yet, you know I don't have perfect systems. I do advocate
and also teach about it and I just do my best to share with you exactly what I do.
So, what I'm trying to do right now is I'm just trying to cut down on the amount of hours
I'm working on the business because the fact is that I want to do spend a little bit more
time doing other activities outdoor rather than in the office at this point in time.
So what I plan to do is cut down and work only 5 hours a day, this is a goal for next
month is to work only 5 hours a day and 4 days a week and that's about 20 hours a week.
Ah - I'm going to be putting in systems to keep track of my goals and also too, to see
where I want to be heading with this. The reason why 5 hours is because I've spread
it out into 5 different sections because I've got 5 different sections because I've got
5 different parts of the business that I want to just focus an hour each day. And, that
way I can just really, really focus and just ***, straight to what I wanted to do.
Ah - yeah, and then last thing or second last thing that's going to be happening is I'm
hiring a web developer as we're getting more projects in, I need someone else to also take
on-board on these projects and continue to yeah, do them for us. So that's the second
thing that's been happening for this month.
And then last thing - as I mentioned I wanted to do some volunteering work last month. I've
applied for that and unfortunately hasn't gone through so I'm going to look for another
volunteering type of position somewhere else and give back to the community some way. I've
talked about it with my fiancee and she's recommended me to also try out something that
is to serve at elderly homes and provide some service there so that's what I'm keen to do
as well as to volunteer.
So this month has been as I said just changing and also consistent. And I just want to share
with you one last thing as well. Not about the goals or anything but what I found for
this month in the experiences and the learning that I've done. This month, I've experienced
a lot of ups and downs not only just because of what's happening with those goals but also
too, I have other investments that I have been running over the last - probably two
years or so or three plus years and I haven't had any income coming into those so I have
been putting myself out of the business and focusing on and fixing up on getting those
investments working again. And finally, the last month of this - of February finally everything
just came through and got passive income coming back in. So you can understand there's been
a bit of roughy type of road and my learning experience from this whole situation is just
to be patient and to let it be, and let God take over because I think I stressed out too
much this month thinking I'd got to fix up, I'd got to find people, I'd got to do it right
myself and just didn't let it happen. And I think that's what made me tense and I found
that this month I've sort of lost a bit of focus because I was trying to focus on something
that - you know, it just only happens overtime.
So that was a little learning thing that I learned from this month and I hope that I
can share that with you. And if you're not Christian, that's cool but I'm just saying
to you don't spend too much of your time focusing and worrying when it's not necessary because
you just have to be continually be consistent and just do those things that are necessary
and don't worry about it because it will happen eventually. So hopefully you can take away
and learn from that as well.
All right, I want to thank you so much for watching this. I really, really enjoy sharing
with you my monthly goals and I hope that you can learn something from this and I guess
I'll just see you inside the next video. All the best for this month and yeah, if you're
involved in my webinar as well for this month as I said for month, I'd love to see you there
as well. So check it out, it's in a video that I just did recently and yeah, I guess
we'll see you there and I hope you're there.
All right, thank you very much. My name is Tyrone from Tyroneshum.com and I'll see you
in the next video. Bye for now.
