Hello, it's Shawn here with RealTruck, and today we're installing a TrailSeal Total Truck
Bed Seal from Access.
At the tailgate, measure from the top of the box down to 19.5 inches and make a small mark.
Repeat on the other side. Go ahead and clean the area with the included alcohol pad. Then
go ahead and use the L seal with the adhesive on one leg. Align the seal with your mark
and adhere around corner as shown. Continue applying the seal to the lip along the bed
floor, following up and down the ribs. Use firm pressure and continue up until you hit
the stopping mark. Then move on to the tailgate sides. Remove the tape and press firmly. Once
applied, you can remove the excess using scissors or a utility knife. Now it's time for the
truck bed itself. Just like the tailgate seal, go ahead and wipe down any dust, dirt, or
debris. Behind the cab, begin with the L seal, which has a double adhesive. Make a V cut
six inches down into the leg, making sure it is adjacent to the side of the box. Now
you're ready to peel the adhesive as you go. Adhere the L seal with firm pressure and follow
the natural truck bed contour all the way down to the bottom of the box. Continue around
the corner and work across the floor, up and down each rib. Make sure to press firmly along
the way. Once you get to the top of the truck bed onto the other side, make another six
inch V cut and adhere the rest of the way. Once that is complete, go ahead and stuff
the foam pieces into the holes found underneath your truck bed rails. Lastly, on the tailgate,
wipe the area shown with an alcohol pad. Make sure to do this on both sides. Then you can
simply apply the short piece of the L seal to it. This project is now complete. Enjoy
your dust and moisture free truck bed.
