What is the difference between corn ethanol and cellulosic ethanol?
David Rothamer, GLBRC Researcher: Cellulosic ethanol and corn ethanol are both the same single chemical component.
The only difference, really, is in the production and the sustainability of actually making those chemicals.
From a combustion standpoint, in the engine, they are going to run exactly the same,
regardless of whether you made the ethanol from corn or whether you made it from a cellulosic biomass material.
