Today, we're looking at the Dexter 10" Hydraulic Brake Assembly, part number 23-312. This assembly
is for the left-hand side. We can tell this by looking at the shoe lining. The leading
shoe will be smaller than the rear or primary shoe. This particular setup is also a single
servo with one wheel cylinder and piston that will push out against this shoe lining, creating
a wedge effect inside the hub drum assembly. This will give us our braking.
When you couple this left-hand side with the right-hand side, we'll have 3,500 pounds in
braking capacity. To tell what our shoe size is, we simply measure across the length of
the shoes to see it is a 10" setup. Then we can also measure the width of our shoes lining
and see it's 2-1/4". This setup is for a 10" x 2-1/4" hub drum assembly. This setup is
also set up to bolt up to a 4 bolt axle *** assembly.
