1- What do we get him?
2- I don't know, he doesn't like games or toys that I do
3- He's always off exploring
4- I worry he could get lost or hurt. These mountains are scary!
7- I wonder if anyone could get cell service here?
3- I know cell phone towers are destroyed during an earthquakes. (Meditating, with closed
eyes)
7- People need to make a plan.
1- Good point, that makes me remember when my neighborhood in Saratoga Springs, Utah
had a huge forest fire. (meditating with close eyes)
2- Oh yea, the city made everybody evacuate. (was meditating, but suddenly opens eyes)
3- Yes for 3 WHOLE days!
4-(Emily)Holly: That must have been scary! (Eyes open)
1&2&3&7- It was!!!!!
7- Some people didn't have a plan.
2- Thank goodness we had a cell phone that worked
4- But here....... (Shake head nervously)
3- Wait, isn't there a device that can use satellite to call?
2- I think so and I know just the person to help us!!
Narrator - the unangry birds make there way down the mountain and to a local shop.
5&6- welcome!
2- we have to buy a present for a good friend of ours.
3- we thought you could help
1- he loves to explore
4- we want to keep him safe
5- I think I might have just thing you need. This is the CROE Jacket. CROE stands Communication
Rescue Over Earthquakes.
6- We talked with 2 experts in emergencies to develop our jacket. And then we shared
our idea with 3 experts in product development. Here's a list of all our resources and the
people who we shared it with (Hand to judge).
7- Did you think of sharing your project with the world by posting it to Youtube and Facebook?
5- Yes we did!
6-When We talked with Ms. Larkson, an inventor; she talked about making a plan for natural
disaster emergencies.
4-I like that!
5- We also did some extensive research, and found out that in a lot of natural disasters,
cell phone towers are damaged seriously.
6- Which leads to disabled rescue chances, and contacting family, and friends to let
them know where you are and if you are ok.
3-We were talking about that same stuff!
4- So the CROE jacket will solve our problems?
5- It is a jacket that has a small device like a walkie-talkie combined with a satellite
phone.
6- In this invention you can call or text people anywhere in the world.
7- How does it work?
5- It contacts a satellite, and then the satellite relays it to a computer system with an operator.
The computer finds the closest emergency responder to our location by searching Google maps and
then calls them and connects us with them.
4- So we can then talk to the emergency responder and tell them that we needs help?
6- Yes! Here are the solar panels, here is the microphone here is the button to turn
it on and to toggle between the walkie talkie mode and the satellite phone mode; here are
the speakers; here is a typer of liner so that the microphone and speakers do not fall
out or get wet;
3- So it's waterproof too?
5- Yes! the jacket is made out of ___ fiber and has wires that conduct electricity? from
the solar panels and stores it in a battery; also a backup battery which is made of X.
6-You can also pair with somebody else that has the same device that you know.
See? (uses prototype to call somebody else in a different room, answers and says "hello,
who's there?")
Someone off stage- Hello?
7- Wow! This is so cool!
2- Yea, so amazing!
4- Yea, this invention will really solve a lot of problems.
3- I agree, with this invention getting help and communicating with other people in natural
disasters will be so much easier!
1- I think we have our present!
Narrator - the unangry birds skip to there friends birdday!
All sing song as you go to party. Holding present
All- Happy Birdday!!!!
8- Awesome!! The CROE jacket!!!! I'm off to explore!!!
(____________ makes shaking noise, and a pile of boxes falls down)
7- Ahhhhhh! It's an earthquake!
8-Lets see if this cool invention works. (presses help button)
Narrator: The End!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
