So for the next octave, we're going to learn the D octave, and again, we, earlier when
we were learning the D harmonic, we were playing a very, very high octave. But the octave that
I want to teach you is just first octave, going from the open D string, to the D on
the A string.
And you'll know when you're playing this D on the A string, in tune when you hear the
D string ring a little bit underneath. You can also play them together, that'll help
you tune, get the D note in tune even more. And once you've found it, you'll be able to
hear the two sounds blend together more. And the D string as well as the D note on the
A string will blend into each other and you'll hear a very nice ringing D sound. That's how
you know that you're playing in tune.
