Hi I'm Dan on behalf of Expert Village. Today we would talk about feathering on the bass
drum. So feathering the bass drum basically means hitting the bass drum on all 4 beats.
It would sound like this. That is a great technique when you are playing in a big band
because it can help you keep time along with the bass player. He is usually playing quarter
notes and also if you are doing more tricky stuff on the snare drums, it would help you
keep timing. So something to keep in mind. Watch our next segment on keeping good time.
