Hello. My name is Signe Andersen and I'm 21 years old.
I arrived home from Hamburg last night.
I have been in an action with Greenpeace
against the Finnish icebreaker Nordica.
Which is on its way towards the Arctic to help Shell drill for oil.
Greenpeace have carried out actions on the ship for 4 days.
It started in Finland where the ship was about to leave harbour.
Activists went onboard to protest against Shell's drilling programme.
They deployed banners and the ship was blocked for several hours.
The ship left, but in Sweden the next team of activists was waiting for it in rubber boats.
Climbers scaled and the ship, until it eventually had to seek harbour.
It was stopped for hours.
A while later, we acted against the ship for a third time.
It was in the waters between Denmark and Germany and the ship was stopped again.
I was one of the climbers who should scale the ship
We didn't succeed in that exactly...unfortunately.
The crew was very effective...
They used high pressure water hoses...
Special forces were dropped on the ship from a helicopter
There was barbed wire on the railings.
So all in all a bit more complicated than expected.
Nordica is now out of the Nordic waters...
and on its way to the Arctic.
We didn't stop the Nordica completely...
but you can help us to do so.
You can send a mail to Shell and demand...
they put an end to their Arctic drilling plans.
You can do this to save the Arctic.
