We're going to talk a little bit about play behavior. These kittens are three and a half
to four weeks old so they're starting to explore their environment, as you can see. They're
starting to look around and see what there might be to play with. They interact with
each other, not so much, sort of just playing in parallel together. As they get older, you'll
see that they will actually, play behavior in kittens will actually be a pouncing, hunting
type of a behavior where they'll roughhouse with each other and wrestle to the ground.
But right now, at this age, what they're doing is exactly normal, exploring their environment.
And you'll see, as I'm handling them, I'm handling them calmly, petting them, stroking
them, handling them gently so that they don't learn to play too rough. One of the most common
things that people do with their kittens is they play really rough with them. Kind of
tip them over, like this, and play with their belly so that they kind of scratch and play
bite, which is really cute when they're this age. But, as they get older, it can be a very
dangerous and annoying habit.
