Eternal Truths - God is the Lord
Let us reflect again on the eternal truths, and today is:
God is the Lord.
In the book of Exodus of Holy Scripture, the Lord says:
"I am the Lord thy God. Thou shalt have no other God besides Me. "
This divine supremacy was repeated several times
throughout history the people of Israel, the Chosen People.
What does this mean? Why this insistence?
To understand this, we must consider the man.
In fact, the man began his story challenging the supremacy of God!
The challenge of man. It is the story of the 1st sin.
God says: I am the Lord thy God.
The Devil tries Man: You shall be as God! - And the man fighting for it!
Today, the same drama of humanity is this:
God says: I am the Lord thy God
The man, contests, rebels, blasphemous, rejects the sovereignty of God;
challenges the power of God and his own authority. It appears that says:
"You may have as you will, but I'll also do what I want!"
Prefer other "gods." Prefer drugs, money, sex, fun,
I prefer my sovereignty, I prefer to close their eyes to the truth.
And then? And then? And after death? Yes.
Oh, I do not speak of death. Then ... just everything!
It will thus be brothers?
No! Not because the sovereignty of God is forever, is absolute, it is universal;
should therefore be present throughout the life of man.
But this, for many, no longer fighting against God.
He thought: "not worth, it is best to ignore him!"
And build your life, your city, your civilization outside of God,
completely forgetting God!
And this construction, the man is exalted because it owns property,
because it finds laws and principles of nature, which were created by God.
And hooks up to do anything without God.
But God continues to say:
"I am the Lord thy God, thou shalt have no other gods besides Me."
This reflection, until now, we could refer it to humanity in general.
But the man personally taken,
also has an entire world in which her feel totally Lord;
is the sphere of his own personality, its own freedom.
Who can bend the will of man? Nobody.
Who decides the man thinking? Nobody!
The man you want to suffice for himself.
Judges are independent, judges are independent, sovereign ...
But God continues to say: "I'm the Lord thy God, thou shalt have no other God besides Me".
Brothers, so we all have to direct our lives to this
"Supremacy of God" to its logical conclusion,
or the 'supremacy of man ": either God or man!
Our spiritual life today is often drowned out by the activity material.
We found many difficulties to create in us a drive:
On the one hand, activity and even the super-activism that leads to the "supremacy of man."
Another hand, the spiritual need to pray,
to live in intimacy with God, the thirst for God: the supremacy of God.
We need to unify our life;
and the absolute principle that unifies all is this: "I am the Lord thy God!"
So the spiritual life should be, for my part, a desire and a purpose:
"The Lord is indeed my Lord, and that therefore
all initiatives to find God in me my full consent
not with the resignation of the oppressed,
but with the sweetness and happiness of those who feel loved by Him! "
Say with determination:
"Lord, I want you to be my only Lord, my God Single!" - Amen, Amen brother
