- Hello Ms. Matsumoto! - Hello! I'm Matsumoto.
So the school was established as a school that taught languages to Japanese people-
-going overseas wanting to do business.
Doing that, we thought "Why don't we also teach Japanese to foreign people in Japan?"
- So we created this truly complete language school experience. - That's really nice.
- My name is Morimoto. Nice to meet you. - Nice to meet you.
My name is Satou. Very nice to meet you.
If I would describe this school in a few words it would be "Cheerful" and "Fun".
I think this is a school where it's very easy to make new friends.
Also, people are studying here with all kinds of purposes. For example, people that have-
-an interest in everything around Japanese culture, not just people that are-
-focused on going to university or a vocational school.
Please tell us about the everyday studies, what are they like?
Sure. The first hour we do mostly kanji and character writing.
If you're in the beginning class, we do hiragana and katakana dictation practice as well.
The second hour consists of things related to grammar.
Also we practice grammar with the help of this textbook.
We do it by going through the texts and pictures together.
We also do different kind of activities.
- Do you have any parties or cultural events? - Yes we do.
We're a small school so people are studying different languages right next to each other.
- So you can use what you learn right away. - Right away, yes!
You can make new friends right away. I think that's our strongest point.
Mr. Morimoto, you speak English as well, right?
Yes, I can speak a little, sure.
I've been teaching Japanese language to foreigners here in Japan-
-for around eighteen years long.
The students in the school have got so much interest in Japanese culture-
-such as animation, manga... It's very interesting for me to talk with them about many topics.
The teachers are of course people that are educated in teaching.
They have experience and we have several requirements, but the most important thing is of course the personality.
- So what are their personalities like?
Well, everyone's very cheerful and most of them have experience living abroad.
- I see, studying abroad as well? - Studying or teaching abroad, yes.
Describe Shibuya for the students that will come here in the future.
Right, Shibuya is mainly a place where a lot of young people go to have fun.
Most of Shibuya is true to that image, but this school is located slightly away from the most crowded place.
It's very quiet and a great environment for studying.
Say you study until one o' clock in the afternoon, then have lunch with your friends or go shopping-
-it's a great place to do any of these things.
- Thank you very much for today. - You're welcome.
