I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village. I am going to show you tips and techniques that
I use when mounting/dismounting my horse. So after you have your horse all saddled and
make sure your girth is nice and tight. You are going to take your reins and hold them
in your left hand. You would want to place your left foot in the stirrup so this will
enable to be able to jump up and swing your right leg over your horse and mount. So you
always want to make sure that you are putting your left foot in the stirrup and then you
can properly grab an swing your way up. You don't want to do the right foot because you
will end up getting on the wrong way and sitting on the horse backwards. It just wouldn't be
comfortable for you. So just grab a hold of the stirrup with your right hold, grab hold
of the fender and the reins with your left, just grab your foot, take it up there, swing
it and put it in the stirrup.
