G'day everyone. My name is Daniel O'Grady, and welcome to
another Wasabicars video. Aww, guys. Get a Life!
Can you... get a Honda Life? From Japan?
I see them everywhere. I'm tripping over them.
There are so many that I'm tripping, because they are under my feet.
And, I'm spinning out, tripping. There are just so many.
They're all rusting away. They're all over the place.
In fields, in car-parks, Honda Lifes. Left and right.
But, guys. We are not here to talk abouthis Honda Life.
We are here to talk about a variant. Of course, there was the Life Step Van.
Kind of popular in recent years due to games, I guess.
Like Gran Turismo. Everyone knows what the Step Van looks like.
But, there was a further variant. A very special variant. It was the Pick-up.
So, I'm reading here that there were 17,000 Step Life Vans built, but there were 1,130-odd
Pick-ups built. I don't imagine they could carry too much.
They still had that 356cc inline-2 engine. So, aside from two people in the front, you
could probably carry your lunch-boxes in the back.
I'm not reading from the press release, there. That's just a guess.
Anyway, so how lucky was it for me to come across of these rare Pick-ups on my travels?
This one is just so cool. I like my cars stock/standard, but this is cool.
Someone's gone all-out with the paint. Very very striking.
Nowadays, the car is quite rusty nd there are some dents here and there.
But, what a cool car to see. Such a rare car. I feel really happy to have seen this.
I saw it at Autobacs. They are an auto-accessories store chain in Japan.
Super-friendly staff. They offered to move the car from in front of it so I could get
a good look at it. I went, Nah, mate! It's 'right, hey. Nah, you're 'right.
Sorry, that was my Australian accent. I've got to work on that.
Anyway, guys. Check it out, a Honda Life Pick-up. Such a cool car.
I don't imagine I'll see one in the near future. So, guys. Soak it up. Soak up the pick-up.
That doesn't even make sense. Thank you so much for joining me.
It's time for me to head off because I know that I have not much footage, so I should
stop talking. Thank you so much, guys.
See you.
