Cenk: We launched Wolf-Pac on Wednesday from Occupy Wall Street. We’ve had an awesome
response to it so far, and I want to give you an update. We’ve got the website: wolf-pac.com,
of course, and we asked for donations because it’s important for the structure to exist.
We’ve got a lot of volunteers working, they’ve got to get paid, etcetera. That was not our
main request, but you guys delivered on that. There’s a lot more to raise, and we absolutely
need to hire a number of folks so we can make this larger and larger, but right before I
came on the show, I checked: So far, we’ve raised $27, 785 in about four days. That is
fantastic because we launched it late Wednesday night.
Also, a number of supporters on our website. We have 6,967 supporters last time I checked.
It will be over 7,000 by the time anybody watches this. The critical number, though,
is the number of volunteers that we have. These are the guys we specifically asked for.
We said, “Hey, tell us if you can occupy a state house.” Of course, we want to have
each state pass a resolution calling for a constitutional convention. If we get two thirds
of the states to do that—BOOM! All of the sudden here comes a convention. We want to
get the amendment where we take away corporate personhood, and we publically finance elections.
Volunteers at the state level are incredibly important. Additionally, we need a legal department,
we need a tech department, we need all these different kinds of departments. We need people
to organize these folks, and we’re taking all of those from the people who volunteer
at the website. Did I mention wolf-pac.com? So, how many volunteers do we have? Let me
just preface that by saying: people who have been working at this for a long time have
said, “Look, I really believe in you guys. I’m optimistic. By the end of the week you
might have fifty to one-hundred volunteers, and that might do it for you.” Right now
we have 2,890 volunteers. We have at least one volunteer in every single state. You know
what that means? That means we’re coming. So, keep the volunteers coming, man. We can
definitely use all of you, and we will use all of you. I love that you volunteer. That
was our number one goal. Somebody said, “You know what? With that number of volunteers
you not only can occupy all of the state houses, you could occupy all of the city halls as
well.” So, that’s fantastic news. As always, TYT Amy is coming to the rescue.
