ZAK: Right now, you are gonna take a journey back to 1798
to learn about all the bloodshed,
all the artifacts that were discovered here
that are contributing to its unsolved history.
BILLY: Dude, what is Nick doing?
Yeah, I feel the spirit inside me right now.
Ohh [bleep] [bleep]
My name is Zak Bagans,
lead investigator of the "Ghost Adventures" crew.
I never believed in ghosts until I came face-to-face with one.
You wanted us. You got us.
So I set out on a quest
to capture what I once saw onto video.
Go! Go!
With no big camera crews following us around,
I am joined only
by my fellow investigators Nick Groff and Aaron Goodwin.
The three of us will travel
to some of the most highly active paranormal locations,
where we will spend an entire night
being locked down...
from dusk until dawn.
You have reached your final destination -- hell.
Raw.
Stop!
Extreme.
Holy [bleep]
Stop! Stop running!
These are our ghost adventures.

We're in Natchez, Mississippi,
and this place is called King's Tavern,
an extremely old treasure of a haunting.
This structure is like the American equivalent
of the Ancient Ram Inn that we investigated in England.
This place is said to be one of the most haunted locations
literally just east of the Mississippi River.
The King's Tavern was built in 1789
at the end of the Natchez Trace.
America's first superhighway,
it stretched for over 400 miles to Nashville, Tennessee.
This port city on the Mississippi River
attracted people trading services and goods.
We've come here to investigate the legend
of a mysterious dagger,
a dagger claimed to have been found inside a fireplace
during construction work in the 1970s,
a dagger claimed to be used in human sacrifices,
a dagger that has now been missing for over 30 years.
This incredibly enigmatic building also has stories
of three skeletons being unearthed
from the same fireplace where the dagger was found.
There are other tales of evil attacks
and numerous paranormal events
that have been verified by credible sources,
such as the local police and a member of the National Guard.
So, we came here to ask the question
why is this place so haunted,
and does this dagger have anything to do with it?
ZAK: How you doing?
HOOTSELL: I'm doing.
Nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you.
The reason why we came here is --
I'm just gonna be blunt.
It's because we heard it was insanely haunted.
We really need to separate what is fact from bull[bleep]
We've heard about bodies and bones
being found on this property.
We've heard about weapons being found on this property.
We've heard about someone taking a baby
and smashing it against the damn wall.
We'd have to call a legend a legend,
folklore, folklore, facts, facts.
The most fascinating legend at the King's Tavern
is that of a Spanish colonial dagger from the 1700s
that allegedly was found here.
So, where did they say that this dagger was found?
The dagger, they claim, was found
when the repairs were done on the chimney.
Similar to the legend of the dagger
is the famous apparition of Madeline,
the mistress of Richard King,
who first owned the King's Tavern in 1789.
The myth was further perpetuated
when reporter Sylvia Booth Hubbard
spent the night at the King's Tavern in 1994
and her article was published in the National Enquirer.
HUBBARD: ...to the tavern's namesake, Richard King...
I saw the most frightening sight of my life.
It's Madeline's ghost, I thought.
Then, as suddenly as it appeared, it was gone.
ZAK: Was this paranormal encounter true by the reporter?
Did this happen? Who is she?
That's the question we want to know.
And we're not gonna leave until we find that out.
The litany of legends here also includes men
dubbed with the title of America's first serial killers.
It is claimed the Harpe brothers
also have ties to the King's Tavern,
and it is very probable that their heinous crimes
left a stain of evil on this location.
They were just cutthroat murderers.
The younger Harpe, he was known
to frequent this particular tavern.
Did they kill anybody here?
The only reason that they were here was predatory.
This group of paranormal investigators confirms
that the darkness of the King's Tavern
attacks your weakest points.
Now, you guys captured some EVPs here, right?
We did. We have a lot of EVPs.
And we caught a "Mommy," real clear.
Holy [bleep]
That's a pretty good one there. I like that.
One of the EVPs I caught kind of was a little personal to me.
It was actually my son's name.
We caught it on EVP, and it was like a laugh afterwards.
What is your son's name?
Mason.
Mason.
Mm-hmm. And you have that?
Yes.
"Ha, ha, ha." That's pretty creepy.
You said that you felt weird going home.
I did. I actually kind of -- not myself.
What would you say, like, oppressed?
[ Sighs ] I felt heavy.
I don't know. It was almost like a depressed feeling.
It was a little unnerving.
The personal stuff that was getting to you --
You coming here and meeting us
has given us more of an awareness now
that there may be something darker here, then,
we didn't know about.
Steve, how you doing?
Doing good.
You've had a paranormal encounter inside this building?
Yes.
Now, are you also in the National Guard?
Yes.
How long you been in the National Guard for?
A little over 18 years.
You have a trained eye, huh?
Yeah. I like to think I do.
Can you please tell us what you saw?
I saw a girl sitting at a table looking at us.
What went through my mind at the time was,
"Well, she's probably just an employee."
And a few seconds later,
I looked back into the room, and she's not there.
So, what you saw, Steve, was a ghost?
Yes.
ZAK: You wonder who this girl was.
Why is she sitting over there at the table?
Why was she staring at Steve?
What happened to you?
Did you die here?
Is there something you want to say?
What we have to try and do now,
and why the "Ghost Adventures" crew is here --
we need to match up these stories,
these paranormal events,
and hopefully match them to a legend
to help support it...
Mm-hmm.
...and give each of these legends,
or an untold story, if you will, a proper ending.
And sometimes, a way that we do that
is we go back and communicate with the history.
ZAK: The question is, what was this dagger used for?
Did it kill somebody?
We just got an address.
Come up. Come up. Come here. Come here. Come here.
ZAK: In our search for the ghosts of Mississippi,
our investigation has led us to legend after legend.
Still with more questions than answers,
We take to the streets to try and pin down
some concrete evidence of the hauntings
here at the King's Tavern.
We do this raw-journalism style right now
where we're just knocking on doors, stopping people in cars,
anybody that's local that may be able
to give us more tips on seeking out more truth
about the history behind this place.
There's still more information we need.
You guys know anything about this building over here?
It's what?
It is? What have you heard?
We used to be over here, and police pull up.
Why would the police pull up? Just all kinds of weird things?
Because the alarm used to go off every five or six hours.
[ Siren wails ]
We would be over here working,
and the jukebox just blows wide open.
[ Organ plays ]
Did you ever go up in there?
I been up in there one time.
But I ain't never go upstairs.
Why didn't you go upstairs?
'Cause they always talk about the ghosts
all the time, so I was scared.
The ghosts have always been on the stairway.
They're always on the stairway? Really?
Would you go in there and spend a whole night
by yourself at night?
No. Not me.
No?
[ Laughter ]
Still on a quest for more information,
we head back to the King's Tavern
to call our researcher, Jeff Belanger.
Jeff?
I'm here.
We want to make sure that we accurately present
what is factual and what is legend.
There is a female death documented here, right?
Yes. It's interesting, Zak.
There was a newspaper article printed in February of 1974
in the Natchez Democrat
where Thomas Young, who lived in the house --
Here's a quote from him.
"My mother, Hilda, died when I was 2 years old,
"and my grandmother has told me many times
"of the misty figure of the veiled woman in a cloak
"with head bowed and hands folded,
"which stood at the end of her bed at night
after my mother's death."
So, it's documented in the paper from 1974
that the house was haunted prior to that.
Wow.
Another thing I wanted to ask you about --
There's a photo that has surfaced
of this apparent dagger.
Do you know how accurate this photo is?
If you check with the local library,
they may have something there.
We need to find out about this dagger.
Jeff's phone call propels us on our mission
to unearth the King's Tavern's largest legend,
so we head to the library.
Dude, that is it. That's the dagger.
Listen to this.
"Mrs. Annabelle Maxie displays an ancient Spanish dagger
"that was found in a fireplace wall at King's Tavern
alongside three skeletons in 1932."
It does say, to this day, no one seems to know
the exact story about how the dagger got in the wall.
The question is, what was this dagger used for?
Did it kill somebody? Was it used in a ritual?
"Elizabeth Craig, chairman of the King's Tavern,
"delights in telling tourists that the dagger belonged
"to an infamous Spanish nobleman
who murdered several people with the blade."
After seeing the article and picture of the dagger,
our investigative skills uncover
some very important new information.
I know the father
of the girl who owned the dagger.
Uh-huh.
I know where he lives.
My name is Zak Bagans.
I'm executive producer
for "Ghost Adventures" on the Travel Channel.
Got on the phone with him. He wouldn't talk.
He did say that his daughter owned it.
She owns it now?
He said yes, his daughter did own it.
And as soon as I started asking more questions,
the phone call was over.
I wonder why it's such a secret.
I don't know.
Maybe it has something to do
with the hauntings of King's Tavern.
Well, we just got an address of the guy
whose daughter apparently owns the dagger.
We're headed to his house right now.
[ Dog barks ]
What do you -- I don't want to go up there.
NICK: The only thing you can do is knock on the door.
He already said he doesn't want to talk.
We're intruding now.
There's no harm in walking up to somebody and saying,
"Hey, have you heard anything about,"
you know, "such-and-such?"
[ Sighs ]
Hi, sir.
WILLIAM: Yes.
My name's Zak, and I was wondering
is there any way
that I can just ask you a couple questions?
Do you mind if I bring one of my camera guys?
Come up. Come up. Come here. Come here. Come here.
Sir, your second wife was --
Annabelle Young.
Sir, we were just at the library, actually...
Yeah.
...and saw a picture of Annabelle.
She was holding a dagger.
A little dagger.
Yeah. Is that what it was?
Yeah, and up on the handle,
it had a little, old jewel of some type.
So, you've seen it?
Yeah, I've seen it.
Oh, really?
Did you ever hear about how they found bodies,
too, with the dagger?
Well, they found skeletons
where two people had been buried.
They did.
Yeah.
Annabelle -- Well, I guess we were married 10 years.
I had two daughters with her,
and when she died, I just let the kids have them.
Do you think that we could talk to your daughter?
I don't know.
If you'd give me your name and number, I'll tell her.
Ask her?
Zak?
Yes, sir.
Zak. Okay, Zak.
And I promise you I'll call you.
Although we never got a call from William's daughters,
we feel our investigation and field work
has provided us with deeper details
and validation that this dagger
was indeed found at the King's Tavern.
That's how you do it, man.
I feel kind of like a detective
that kind of just solved a case.
It's a good feeling, man.
Right.
We kept going and driving
and knocking on doors and asking people.
And we found the guy whose wife
was in the picture of the 1977 newspaper article.
Annabelle.
Good job.
That's how it's done, dude.
And this is gonna be one awesome lockdown,
and I can't wait to get in there.
Hello? Is anyone here?
Madeline?
Please tell me the name of the woman
who was killed with a dagger here.
[ Bell rings ]
All right. Now you can hear the church bell behind me.
It's 9:00. That means it's time for lockdown.
But what I'm gonna do is
is I'm also gonna bring in this dagger.
This is a real dagger. I'm gonna use it as a trigger object.
This is not the one that was found in the fireplace.
That one is still missing.
I'm gonna see if this can lure in any activity
or maybe the spirit of Madeline.
HUBBARD: ...to the tavern's namesake, Richard King...
All right, guys. I'm going in by myself, okay?
Watch me on the monitors.
Is somebody in here?
Coming up on the door right now leading to the basement.
Hello? Is anyone here?
Madeline?
Richard King?
Does this look familiar?
Seems very still, very quiet, very comfortable.
Don't feel anything weird.
As I feel the environment is very still,
I'm going to turn on a device
that will not only prove effective
as a spirit communicator
but will also change the building's energy
in a way none of us will be able to describe
by the end of the night.
If there's anybody in here
that wants to come talk to me, I'm here alone.
I don't mean you any harm.
I'm here to help you, okay?
Can you tell me what your name is?
Andy?
How you doing, Andy? I'm Zak. Nice to meet you.
Can you tell me what your name is?
Andy?
How you doing, Andy? I'm Zak. Nice to meet you.
Please tell me the name of the woman
who was killed with a dagger here.
Sounded like it just said "Madeline."
He just said "Madeline."
Did you hear that?
Yeah. Wow.
Madeline.
Please tell me the name of the woman
who was killed with a dagger here.
Sounded like it just said "Madeline."
I'm really uncomfortable right now.
Can you see that? My arms are...
Yeah, do you see these goose bumps?
I am freezing cold right now.
Wow. Your energy is intense.
What do you want from me?
Is the female spirit that just asked for help
the red-headed girl
that these two investigators both witnessed?
It stood about this tall.
It was about this tall, had red hair.
It had red hair?
Red hair.
What do you want from me?
[Bleep]
How many of you are here?
Whoa!
Did you see that?
Whoa! Whoa!
Did you see that?
An orb just shot out of your fricking speaker.
Yeah.
ZAK: Just as I'm feeling a strong energy around me
from who I believe are the spirits I'm talking to,
which is also affecting my body and making my hair stand on end,
this light anomaly manifests out of the speaker.
This is not a dust particle or bug,
and it's very unusual-looking, like a strange-shaped mist.
We believe this is spirit energy leaving the Spirit Box
because, after this occurs, the voices stop,
although the energy inside here
remains intense, almost unbearable.
Hey, Zak, you there?
Yeah, man.
When you were holding that speaker up near the camera,
there was, like, this ball --
This anomaly just shot up out of it.
All right.
You want me to send Aaron in?
Stay there. I'm gonna come back to base.
As I head back to base,
Nick gives me an update about the anomaly
that came out of the Spirit Box,
as well as all the other intelligent voices.
They were so clear, and they were --
Dude, and then, did you hear when I wasn't talking?
There was no voices.
It seems like the environment changed, 'cause you were calm.
You were like, "Oh, there's nothing in here."
You're calm, and then, suddenly, it just changed like a dime.
That energy was so, so intense and thick.
Hey, is someone in the basement?
Negative.
Holy [bleep] Come here. Come here.
ZAK: Is there somebody in here [bleep] around with us?
Coming down.
ZAK: The energy at the King's Tavern in Natchez, Mississippi,
is making it one very intense lockdown.
I'll go to the second floor,
go in there for a little bit, do some EVP.
Zak, do you want to walk in with the thermal with me
and then place it on the table?
Let's go.
NICK: Dude, there's a weird feeling
when you walk in here.
ZAK: Mm-hmm. Is there a lady in here?
This is where he would turn around
and see this lady standing right there.
ZAK: Nick is referring to this man,
a member of the National Guard who witnessed a female spirit
sitting at this table, staring at him.
I looked back into the room, and she's not there.
Madeline, are you in here?
You see that?
It looks like it [bleep] got ripped down.
ZAK: Before our investigation,
we came through here and secured all four windows
with black foil and cloth using heavy gaff tape.
There's no way this could have just fallen down,
as you can see on the other three windows
how secure we sealed each of them.
And what's interesting is that when we review the X camera,
we can hear this event occurring.
[ Foil rattling ]
[ Foil rattling ]
What's also interesting is that two seconds before this happens,
a light anomaly appears to come out of the doorway
and shoot behind the camera.
[ Foil rattling ]
The gaff tape...
Yeah, I know. It's [bleep] weird.
...is gone.
I don't get it.
What I'm trying to say is,
as you can see on the other window,
we put two identical pieces of gaff tape
on the fabric that was ripped down.
And what's puzzling us is
that these two large pieces of tape are gone,
when they should be either stuck to the cloth or on the ground.
There's no tape.
There's no tape on it, dude.
There's none.
See it?
That's weird, though.
Blocking the windows -- They probably like looking out the windows.
ZAK: Is there a girl in here?
NICK: Madeline, are you over here?
[ *** ]
Is there someone d--
Hey, is someone in the basement?
Ask if someone's in the basement.
ZAK: Hold on. Hold on. Stop, everybody.
Is there somebody in the basement right now?
Negative.
Holy [bleep] Come here. Come here.
Stay put.
Come here.
Stay put. Nobody do anything.
ZAK: Nick hears very loud banging noises
come from downstairs in the basement,
and at the same exact time, we do capture these sounds
on the X camera rolling in the kitchen.
Not only that, but two seconds later,
this cylindrical anomaly comes from around the cabinet here
and goes in the direction of the sounds.
I just have goose bumps going through my arm.
ZAK: That's what I had downstairs.
Look at my face.
I know.
All of my face just feels electricity right now.
That's what I had downstairs. That's what I had downstairs.
Listen.
Is there somebody in here [bleep] around with us?
Coming down.
Remember that big, huge guy?
He said he got pushed.
I went face-first.
Actually, dust came down, he fell so hard.
Scattered across the floor, terrible fall.
You could hear it throughout the whole building.
NICK: Hoping that's not gonna happen to me
going down the stairs.
All right, I'm just scanning the basement.
Nick, what's wrong? Where are you?
Right here.
Oh. You okay?
Yeah, I'm all right.
ZAK: I don't realize how important Nick's response is
in regards to what's about to happen.
All right. Let me try doing some digital recorder work.
Do you want to... sit down
and have a good drink at the tavern?
Do you like that they call it King's Tavern?
I'm gonna put this camera out here, just in case.
Just 'cause they were --
Whoa!
Whoa! Did you see that?
In the room we just left,
we captured this very strange, unexplained mist
pass in front of the camera.
We debunk it as not being contamination
from outside spilling through
because the only spillage is this little bit
on the chair and table.
Is there anyone that wants to talk to me?
Say something.
Nick decides to stay up here by himself and do EVP
while I head back to nerve center.
Madeline?
Are you the lady that resides here?
Do you still live here?
Nick does EVP for about 20 minutes,
and after he asks Madeline this question,
it is her, we believe, who responds.
Are you with me right now?
Mnh-mnh.
Where are you?
Guys, I can feel this cold, just, blast of air
going right through my body, and at the same time,
I'm feeling this electrical surge just jolt through my skin.
That's what I was feeling.
There's a lot of that in there.
They go in and out, in and out.
I just want to know that you're here.
I want to know what the message is from the other side.
I want you to communicate with me
and give me an answer to what happens when you die.
Can you tell me that?
I'm telling you they're all heightened as hell now
because of that Spirit Box session.
I guarantee you they want to communicate.
JAY: Oh, yeah.
I had all that intelligent interaction with the spirits.
Now they just -- It's like he's a little piece of bait in there, you know?
They're just feeding off of him.
What the [bleep] wrong with him?
What is Nick doing?
AARON: Oh, my God!
Oh [bleep] [bleep]
ZAK: Locked down at the King's Tavern in Natchez, Mississippi,
the activity is about to take a turn for the worse
with Nick its target.
What the [bleep] wrong with him?
Aaron, do me a favor.
See if Nick's all right and what's going on.
I don't feel right.
And then tell him to come back to base.
Okay.
And you go up to third floor.
Okay.
ZAK: We have enough audio and visual evidence already
to state factually that there is paranormal activity
occurring in this building,
something that's also validated by local police officers.
Nick!
Where are you, man?
Nick. There you are.
Phew. You all right?
Dude, this room's active, bro.
Let's do some Spirit Box in there with you.
No, come in there with me.
I think Nick should try and communicate with the Spirit Box.
I want Nick to do another Spirit Box session
so that we can see how much deeper
this possible attachment can go with him.
He may be able to open the portal even more
by using this communication tool.
I also felt this effect
when I was conducting my session in the basement,
and I feel the residual energy still here at nerve center.
We can't find out all the answers.
Nobody will tell us.
We need you to communicate with us.
Were you murdered here?
Oh, my God.
Whoa!
Hold on.
A kid's voice, like, "Hello?"
Dude, it's having an effect on me, man.
A voice comes through and says, "We'll get you,"
followed by a disturbing little baby's voice.
Oh, my God.
Whoa!
God.
Whoa!
Hold on.
A kid's voice, like, "Hello?"
Dude, it's having an effect on me, man.
AARON: Why are you trying to affect Nick?
What does that help you with?
I know it sounds really loud right now.
Can you tell me if you were murdered here, please?
Tell me if you were murdered here.
Yes.
Yes!
It said "Yes"!
Tell me if you were murdered here.
Yes.
Yes!
It said "Yes"!
ZAK: At the same time
that we're receiving all these intelligent responses,
up on the third-floor X camera,
we capture a very strange anomaly
that manifests out of the rocking chair on the left,
then appears to stand up with a height of about five feet
before moving very slowly to the right,
where it hovers still for a moment,
then goes back down into the other chair
and disappears, as if it sat down.
We believe this is an ectoplasmic mist
of a partial spirit apparition
sitting up from one chair and moving to the other.
Okay, then, you do this.
You sit here. Don't make a sound.
I'm gonna go upstairs.
If anything happens, you holler, okay?
All right, I'm going up.
NICK: All right.
AARON: It's creepy, man.
There's a different vibe up in here for sure.
Phew.
If you're trying to drain energy
from Nick right now...
ZAK: What the [bleep] is wrong with him?
What is Nick doing?
All right, right now, I'm just gonna do an EMF sweep.
All right.
Dude, it feels like something's walking around
in here with me, man.
ZAK: Is Aaron sensing the anomaly
we just captured here moments ago?
I don't think I've ever seen him like this -- ever.
Dude, what is Nick doing?
Mm-hmm. Or quicksand.
[ Sighs ]
You should go talk to him, dude.
I still don't feel right.
He's just standing there.
Yeah.
AARON: All right, right now, I'm turning on the Ovilus,
and I'm just gonna hold it.
And if it goes off, I'll let you know.
ZAK: Huh?
What's bad?
I swear every time I --
I'm, like, really trying to fight it
and just trying to stay focused,
but I just get these weird feelings.
It's from the Spirit Box.
Nick and I head down to the basement
to conduct another Spirit Box session,
and for over 15 minutes, not a single voice comes through.
Just goes to show you. I was down here by myself.
I was talking to them left and right.
Now they ain't saying [bleep] No voices at all.
As I look over in this dark room,
I have no idea where Nick went.
Whoa, Nick! Come here!
If you're in here, please come and talk to me.
Talk to this Ovilus.
Computerized voice: "Travel."
[ Gasps ] "Travel."
"Outside."
"Travel outside."
Dude, the Ovilus just said, "Travel outside."
ZAK: As Nick is heading upstairs towards him,
the Ovilus X gives Aaron two messages,
telling him to travel outside.
Is this spirit warning him that Nick is approaching
while under the influence of a familiar, darker spirit?
Whoa! Why are you grabbing my camera, dude?
Come here.
[Bleep] you, man!
Go downstairs with Zak.
Dude, don't be all coming up on me all creepy like that.
What are you doing?
[ Indistinct shouting ]
I thought they were about to fight.
No. I'm following you.
Let me get your recorder.
Look at this.
Hey, Bill, this is set to record.
He came upstairs.
Oh, my God! Oh [bleep]
I can feel it all around me.
I feel the spirit inside me right now.
ZAK: Bill.
Hmm?
You all right?
ZAK: Late in our lockdown at the King's Tavern,
the spirits now turn their aggressiveness towards Aaron.
Oh, my God! Oh [bleep]
Something just totally grabbed my back, dude!
Oh, my God!
No, dude, that was seriously like two hands pushing my back.
ZAK: Right after Aaron feels something push him,
he captures a creepy laugh.
Is this the same spirit that just assaulted him?
Oh, my God!
No.
God!
No.
God!
No, dude, that was seriously like two hands pushing my back.
NICK: That's why I came to get you,
'cause they were gonna attack you.
ZAK: At this point, Nick begins saying
some disturbing things to Aaron
about what the spirits here are trying to do to him.
We already have enough audio-visual evidence
to prove at this point that Nick is being affected
by an attachment of spirit energy.
I'm telling you, man. They were coming to get you.
AARON: Dude, it's right here. Feel this.
I can feel it all around me.
I feel the spirit inside me right now.
I just wanted to give you a warning.
ZAK: The entire time I've been sitting down here,
the Spirit Box hasn't said a single word.
Then, as Nick comes down the stairs,
a spirit seems to give him and whatever is attached to him
this message.
Whoa!
Whoa!
NICK: Are you in here?
Who just came down the stairs?
Getting up. [ Sighs ]
Zak.
ZAK: I radio Aaron to find Nick and get him outside
so he can lift whatever is having an effect on him
while I send Billy in to take full-spectrum photos
to try and get a visual of the spirits.
AARON: Do you feel better, dude?
Oh, man. I feel so drained.
Dude, you had a serious moment, bro.
It's so weird being outside.
JAY: What is Bill doing now?
Don't tell me he's getting [bleep] up.
He's walking just like --
Dude, I wasn't myself.
Emotions just fluctuating
where I'm, like, overly, like, mischievous, happy,
and then, suddenly, I just want to [bleep] hurt somebody,
you know what I mean?
ZAK: Be careful in there.
He didn't even respond.
[ Radio chatter ]
There he goes. He just snapped out of it.
Did you see that?
As Billy is being affected by something up here,
this ball of light shoots out of his head.
At the same time, he begins to tell us how confused he feels.
This is the first time we have ever seen Billy
affected mentally by an investigation.
I feel like I'm going in and out of consciousness
or some [bleep]
It's really weird.
You know what the weirdest thing about that was?
It was like I was fighting it.
I still knew -- I knew what was going on,
but it's like I still just want to go in there right now
and just stay there.
I don't want to leave.
Dude, his face is scary and trance-y.
Yeah, it looks all, like, sucked in.
This room is dark.
ZAK: Things are about to get scarier,
as Billy begins walking down the stairs,
where he has to stop and sit down right here.
[ Hums ]
You can faintly hear Billy start humming or moaning.
And back at nerve center,
we also hear these two loud bangs on the third-floor mike.
And embedded in the bangs is a woman's voice.
Just stay here.
ZAK: Bill.
Hmm?
You all right?
Mm-hmm.
You okay?
Yeah.
What are you doing?
What's wrong with it?
Really fast.
Let me see your pulse.
Not only do I notice tears coming out of Billy's eyes,
but as soon as I check his pulse,
I go into panic mode, as his heart is having a tachycardia,
which is rapid heartbeat.
Then I check his hands.
Hey, uh, come in.
Take a deep breath, okay?
NICK: Go ahead, Zak.
Hey, Billy's heart rate is going nuts, dude, and --
My hands are pins and needles right now.
Yeah. You need to get somebody.
When did you know something hit you that was wrong?
What did you feel?
When I went up the stairs to the second floor,
and the next thing I remember, I was on the third floor.
And when I realized it, it kind of scared me a little bit.
My heart started racing.
[ Rapid heartbeat ]
And then I realized that my hands were completely numb,
and my heart was not beating right.
I just panicked.
There was something that wasn't normal.
And I don't know. I was, like, in a fog.
I lost track of time.
It just was overwhelming.
Were you scared?
Yeah. Yeah, I was scared.
After you saw what was going on with Nick,
do you think whatever influenced him
to change his personality
had the same effect on you?
Yeah, I think that's why I was scared,
because I saw it affected other people, too.
And then, once it was happening,
I felt like there was nothing I could do to stop it
'cause I felt like I was being possessed, you know?
That made me fearful, and I didn't expect it.
As our investigation concluded,
the strange events kept occurring.
As we got in the car and left the location,
there was a house just down the street in a fiery blaze.
As we passed that fiery house,
there was about a thousand black crows
in the road, just staring at us,
would not let our car through them.
On top of that, Nick looked at his cellphone,
and there were a bunch of words written in a text message.
It just appeared on his phone.
Not only that, but two days later,
a deadly tornado belt
came through Natchez and that whole area.
Once we looked at the radar,
the tornado belt was in the shape of a dagger.
The tip of the dagger was pointing to the town of Natchez.
Now, we can't say
that has anything to do with our investigation.
It's just very coincidental and very weird.
And that is how we can describe this lockdown.
