Hi. I'm Chris 51. I'm here to give you a little insight on foot, wrist, and hand tattoos.
Those areas of the body that have a little bit thinner skin, a little more delicate.
First of all be prepared, some of the shops you go into aren't even going to tattoo you
in those areas. Different people have different opinions about it. I can personally tell you
its an easy area to tattoo. The skin in those areas is much thinner, a little more delicate,
very easy for an inexperienced tattoo artist to make mistakes. A little tiny dot could
turn into a big blob very quickly because of the tissue in that area. Imagine holding
a sharpie to a piece of white paper. As time goes on, that ink bleeds into the paper. Same
thing happens when the ink goes under the skin. If you're not careful and have a delicate
touch, it can cause a little, tiny line to turn into a big blurry blob. So be careful
with the design selection on the hands, feet, and wrist. You want something not quite as
detailed, color is fine. You just want to stay away from the little intricate patterns.
Make sure your artist is experienced, he has been tattooing years and knows how to tattoo
in those areas. Look for his portfolio. Look for pages with those areas being tattooed.
