Hello, I am Guillaume Pille of Two Notes Audio Engineering
We're here at la pédale to present our new product
the Torpedo C.A.B.
Two Notes is a French company specialized in recording
guitar and bass amplifiers.
You have your effects,
for instance a distortion pedal, a preamp pedal,
you can plug them into the Torpedo C.A.B, which
simulates a power amplifier, so that we reproduce
what would be happening if you had a guitar amplifier.
We'll emulate that power stage, and then
simulate a speaker cabinet and mic in a studio environment.
You get to choose your cabinet, from 32 cabs embedded
in the Torpedo C.A.B. There are 57 available online,
which you can upload very simply via the software provided.
You choose the cabinet, you have 8 studio mics,
the classics,
and when you have chosen your gear
move the mic around the virtual studio to find the sweet spot,
the optimal mic position for the sound you want,
add this sound to your mix, with the various instruments,
all of this very quickly, for we think that professional gear
ought to bring professional results in the least amount of time.
In the Torpedo C.A.B., you find
studio-grade converters,
state-of-the-art electronics
to bring forth the best audio dynamics
of your setup, and its crunch.
We want to be perfectly transparent, and all of the processing,
is our modelization and simulation,
one of the most powerful on the market today.
The Torpedo C.A.B. is designed for people who use pedals.
If you prefer using amplifiers
here are our first products, the Torpedo Live and
the Torpedo VB-101, the upmarket studio version.
Those will replace the speaker cabinet,
meaning you have your head amp, and instead of plugging
the Speaker out to a cabinet, as you normally would,
you are going to plug that Speaker output
to the Live or VB-101.
These products carry a load
to electrically speaking replace your speaker cabinet,
and guarantee your amp's safety.
We monitor both temperature and impedance,
It's all perfectly managed inside the product
to prevent all failure. That's why today we work
with many professional productions, touring artists,
people who use their gear instensively,
for we guarantee your comfort and safety
by allowing you to add the Torpedo miking simulation
to your amplifier: cab simulation,
microphone pick-up, and mic positioning in space.
What's different between those: the Live is a simplified version,
designed for the stage,
for quick results, including a digital out
for home recording.
The VB-101 is a bigger model, with many inputs and outputs,
a few more options, and the very best types of converters.
That is, you get converters
of the most expensive types,
something you generally find in professional studios.
The VB-101 also provides
a signal-processing section
to send perfectly shaped sound to the recorder,
the Post-FX section, which includes
a compressor, exciter, EQ, the essential effects you need
to process a signal.
This is for people who want their setup ready to fire
on stage or in the studio. They can adjust their own presets,
plug directly into the soundboard with something final,
or do pre-production
in the best working conditions possible.
You can find more on these products
with a lot of videos and info on www.two-notes.com
a users' forum for you to talk with other users
and with our tech team.
Our extensive database gives a lot of product information.
You can try a free version of our Wall of Sound plug-in,
with limited features for you to get familiar with our technology.
You will add this plug in
either after an amp simulator, or your pre-amplifier,
or pedals via your soundcard, to get a good preview
of what this technology can do.
Then of course we have the full version of the Wall of Sound plug-in,
on which you can stack up to 100 speaker/mic combinations,
and achieve complex miking sessions with the entire
cabinet and microphone library. This is a great addition
to our hardware, but it is also something you can use alone,
after an amp simulator, or preamplifier, or pedals
which you plug directly into the soundcard.
