To adjust the needle position, for example on a straight stitch. As you're sewing along,
you've got the needle starting in the center needle position. Touch the sewing information
and adjust it with the arrows to the right or the left. You'll notice that your needle
will slide to the right. Your picture will slide to the right and you can go all the
way over to 3.5 and then all the way over to the other side. You can actually change
this while you're sewing too. It doesn't matter when you touch the buttons, the needle will
operate or get stuck in your fabric and we can make it go all the way over the other
side.
Another thing that we have with needle positions, for example if we go back to a zigzag. When
we go to the sewing information, we can use the alt button to get to our needle position
for this stitch. Notice that your stitch width down here changes to a needle position type
symbol and you can watch the whole entire zigzag slide to the right as far as it will
go based on how wide the stitch is.
This is sometimes nice because like right now, the needle is lined up with the center
red mark of the foot and so that gives me some place to guide. If I was to be going
around a certain piece of fabric, I can make sure that the zigzag was tapping right along
the edge or cover the fabric based on where the needle position is.
Some of the stitches do have that option where as you select them, just make sure that if
you touch alt without going into the sewing information, it will just kind of beep at
you. Then go into the sewing information, touch alt, see if that's an option for that
stitch until you can see, you can slide it right or left.
