Hi everyone and welcome back. We talked about Supergamepower and how this magazine was a fusion from 2 others and today we have the spotlight in one half, Supergame. História Revista is on.
Before Supergamepower we had these two magazines: Supergame, only about Sega and Gamepower only about Nintendo. The player could pay less and buy only the one with the things he wants to know,
but if he wants to know everything he should buy both. The biggest problem with those magazines was they are 100% sided with their systems, and this is very dangerous.
This was the 90s attitude plus the 16 bits war, the guy bought the Sega Genesis and he must believe he did choosed wisely. Today we all know the SNES was stronger
and in this magazine this fact was ignored. The game is on both systems? The Genesis version is better. When Street Fighter 2 arrived on Genesis 2 years after the SNES
it was all part of the plan, Capcom couldnt handle the Genesis and the Blast Processing and we wont accept the same thing they did on the SNES, we can do it with with out hands tied.
The greatest work from Tec Toy, a true classic. Every Monica game was based on some Wonderboy game until Genesis, with Wonderboy in Monster World.
News and gossips, they talked about Super Monaco GP 2 and we can see Ayrton Senna playing with himself in his own game and the new arcade R-360 from Sega, that one with the spinning cockpit.
This arcade has a modified version of G-LOC and everyone said it was the first step into virtual reality and how people talked about this thing, we'll see in the next episodes.
And after many pages of protips we have the first game of the day, Two Crude Dudes on the Genesis. A good port from the arcades and nothing more. Spiderman The Videogame in the arcades,
strangely thay never made a port to any system. A great game, great graphics, great effects, very strange indeed. The Flintstones on the Master System.
Funny how i started reading the review and how they made a little walkthrough of 2 pages. I know its only 4 stages but this game was released in this week.
G-LOC, the same from the R-360 also on Master System. And Art Alive and Populous for Genesis. And this ad from Quackshot when you could put your money on Disney games and never miss.
In this month they wrote this article on football. The first steps in the Madden dinasty, excellent. The other was Joe Montana 2 - Sports Talk Football
and a revolution: play by play commentary. Madden was looking for simulation and Joe Montana has the arcade feeling, press start and start playing.
Shadow Dancer on Master System, nice port from the arcade, 2 page walkthrough. Some new games, Jewel Master, Tecmo World Cup 92 without a world cup in this year
but it doesnt matter, this game is awesome. Very simple, no crowd, no fouls and offsides and lots of fun. At the time sports games had music, specially japanese games like this one.
The Immortal, AKA press start to die. Thinking again, who knows if this game helped inspire Demons Souls and Dark Souls? Those two games are famous because of the difficult level.
Its not a game for everyone, as in the beginning we die blocking the attacks from the first enemies we see. Also Back to the Future 3 on the Genesis, terrible game.
Almost at the end we have more protips, more than enough, this issue had 4 different protips sessions. The official, readers, tips, hotline tips and classic tips. Who cares?
Records from brazilians and americans, everything goes 999999999999 and the end of this issue, the first half of the Supergamepower magazine we saw in the last episode.
Thanks for watching another episode from our show and stay tuned for more. See you next time.
