We're going to go ahead and work on another offensive cheer that we're going to use when
our team has the ball and they're going to score. This cheer is going to be, "Take it
to the hoop." So we're going to start out, "take it". We've got our arms in a T position.
We want to make sure we can see them just out of the corners of our eyes. Keep them
nice and straight. Keep our big donut holes pushing forward. With our legs, we're going
to take a slight step forward with our right foot. So we're going to have, "take it". Now,
we're going to come down, bend our knees and have your feet meet in front. We're going
to cross our right arm over our left arm into a little O. So we've got, "take it to the
hoop." We're going to open our legs up and pull that V around to the right. So it's a
circle over our head now. So we've got, "take it to the hoop". So we just wind that O right
up to the right side over our head. Now, we've got, "take it to the hoop". We're going to
do two claps over our head. These aren't going to be clasps. They're going to be open palm
claps. So we've got, "take it to the hoop". Clap, clap. Next we're going to do, "score".
We're going to hit our low V position. After we've done "score", come back to a clap. And
we're going to hit "two more". And keep your left arm down. Put your palm on the back of
your thigh. Just rest it there. Your right arm is going to shoot straight up into the
punch position with your two score fingers up. So from the beginning we've got, "Take
it to the hoop. Score two more." From the back, it's going to look like this: "Take
it to the hoop. Score two more." And now you just learned a take it to the hoop offensive
cheer.
