Jacqueline Mok: Welcome to this glorious July day when we welcome the 21st president of
the University of Arizona Ann Weaver Hart and her husband Randy Hart. Welcome!
Zachary Brooks: Hello. Welcome to campus President Hart. On behalf of the eight thousand five
hundred graduate and professional students of the University of Arizona I would like
to welcome you to campus.
Krystina Nguyen: The students of this institution are highly diverse, driven, and have remarkable
wildcat spirit and pride, as I am sure you probably already see.
Dr. Hart: I am looking forward to meeting all of you and joining together to help the
future of this great institution be great in the way it was in the past, but even better
as we look to becoming and staying one of the finest institutions in the world and fulfilling
that incredibly important role in the broader society and thank you for such a warm welcome.
I appreciate it very much. Thank you!
Dr. Hart: I’m thrilled. This is such a welcome and to have everyone come out in the Alumni
Plaza and give me such a warm welcome was very moving. I’ve been so anxious to get
here that I can hardly believe that day has finally arrived.
Zachary Brooks: Given the strong presence the international students have on the graduate
and professional programs I should finish my welcome fitting my program and GPSC’s
people by saying welcome… (continues to say welcome in different languages)
… and of course welcome. Welcome to the University of Arizona.
UA Employee: Thank you for stopping by. It was nice to meet you.
Dr. Hart: Oh it was wonderful. Enjoy your August I know it will be very, very good.
