Joho Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Jo Cognito from Videoamt with the subject "3D for everyone".
Well, there is a new bloody beta function on YouTube like you can turn your 2D-videos into 3D-videos.
Alright, don't ask for the sense of it, I'm gonna show you how it works.
Actually there is a new "3D-button", you just have to find it under "my videos" like that,
not under "edit videos".
So I have to enter the video page and click that button on top,
then I can see the 3D link.
There it is.
So you can find it in the video page.
I've already done this, so I'm gonna show you.
With that button here, it doesn't appear something that tells you that its 3D,
it's just HD.
But when I click on the video...
There is the 3D button, which I can turn on or off.
Well, the result of this video didn't fascinate,
it looks well seperated with the colours red and cyan,
but the 3D-effect on HD with a big flatscreen was... no I don't say something to this.
So, how do you do this? I'm gonna demonstrate this.
This has been a screencast and I'm going to a real video and check it out.
For example this one.
I click on it...
And I go directly to the video page.
Editing the information and I can see the 3D button.
I can choose which footage I have and which original footage,
whether with one frame like I have, or two frames if I've used a 3D camera.
So I have to choose this one to change 2D into 3D.
By the way it's a cool idea... well okay.
Let's see how it develops because it's almost beta.
Then I say...
So I should turn on the 3D conversion for this video
and then it's said here...
... that's true, the other video during 2 minutes has taken 2 hours until it was ready.
Actually it's simple, click the 3D button on the video page,
choose if you have one video source and a single picture, or a 3D captured source,
then I can do this.
Finally I have to save then there appears a message,
changes have been saved..
...maybe in the next day.
Okay, guys, 3D-ready!
I just go to the film I've already changed, the 3D button appears
but the original movie quality doesn't get lost, good job,
otherwise it would be annoying.
Under the 3D settings... well there's a bug because the video stops as you can see...
... strange, but it's beta.
And under the 3D button you can see advanced settings like changing the colours.
I've taken red and blue and I can also choose a colour pattern,
not red and blue, but red and green, there are different colour settings for 3D.
Or even the button for "no glasses",
that would be very interesting but this feature doesn't work for html5-players,
but as I said, it's beta and just have fun and look how it develops, if you need it.
Yes, I'm gonna look at the result when it's ready,
with real videos from 2D into 3D,
so check it out and it's for free.
One more tool on YouTube is the "3D Video Creator".
You can load 2 videos, for the left and the right side,
so if you capture with 2 cameras at once,
you can load them up and edit them with "synchronization" and "vertical focus"
and create a 3D video with a real video.
Feel free to check it out, link in description.
Alright, so that's all about that feature,
I hope you've learned something, if yes subscribe, if not then let it be.
This was Jo Cognito from Videoamt and I am out!
