\f0\fs26 \cf0 Welcome to The Power of Thought. This is part two of the episode called Dreams
and Reality. In the last segment I went through the major categories of the associations between
sleeping dreams and waking reality. Just to review: I correlated predictive dreams and
their manifestation in life, Lucid dreaming and paranormal abilities in waking reality,
shared dreaming and telepathy, and in this segment I am going to look at synchronicity
and dream symbols. -\'a0In simple terms, synchronicity means coincidences that have a deeper meaning
than merely just being coincidences. As an example - in part one of this episode I mentioned
some synchronistic events happening to me \'a0that revolved around the number 4:44.
\'a0This number has personal meaning for me since I was born at 4:44 pm. In comparison
to synchronicity, this is also the way dream symbols tend to work. Images or experiences
occur in dreams that usually hold a deeper personal meaning. Certain images or dream
scenarios can represent psychological issues or perhaps even future events. Obviously,
how you interpret your dream symbols has allot to do with your personal life experience,
just like my synchronistic experience with the number 4:44. It has personal meaning to
me, but may have little meaning to someone else. Of course, the sequence of numbers can
have some significance to anyone since it is three number fours in a row. But, with
dream symbols, how much consistency in their meaning can there really be between humans?
Some of the dream dictionaries claim things like seeing a bird beak in your dream means
you are going to make a residence move or another dream dictionary says that bird beaks
mean someone is annoying you. Which is correct? I don't know of any scientific research that
shows that any dream symbols have exactly the same meaning for everyone. However, since
we all share a common experience it is not surprising that we share some similarities
in our dreams. For example, how many people have dreamed of going to school without their
pants on or something like that? This kind of dream may mean different things for different
people but the actual dream scenario is not that uncommon. Shared dream symbols makes
sense because what happens in our waking reality tends to show up in our dreams. And, since
most of us have gone to school and/or worn pants these objects and situations can be
used as symbols in our dreams. - But, the meaning of the dream symbol is pretty much
a personal thing. The question now is - what is it trying to tell you? If you listen to
Sigmund Freud dream symbols are trying to tell you about some repressed *** issues
or wish fulfillment. Many of the dream dictionaries interpret dream symbols as predictions about
the future. The funny thing is my particular predictive dream was pretty straight forward
and my wife's predictive dream was actually almost an exact scenario of the real event.
So, not too much symbolism there. Why the mind chooses to sometimes use symbols and
other times just be straight forward with information I don't know. If anyone thinks
they have a good explanation for that please let us know in the comments section. Thank
you. Anyway, life is kind of like that too. Sometimes we get whispers with subtle synchronicities
that are like obscure dream symbols and sometimes we get a brick in the face with matter of
fact information, just like my wife's predictive dream. If you want to know what that dream
is you can watch episode 12 and find out. - The whole point of comparing dream symbols
and synchronicities is to show that sleeping dreams and waking reality are both coming
from a higher consciousness. In sleeping dreams we get helpful information sometimes in the
form of predictive dream symbols and sometimes in straight forward information. In waking
life there seems to be the same operation going on where we sometimes get synchronistic
events that are subject to interpretation and other times we get life circumstances
that create matter of fact unavoidable situations in our lives. We can always chalk up the unavoidable
situations as just random fate or luck, but it's not so easy to write off the synchronicities
as just coincidences. Especially when the odds of the coincidence happening are tremendous.
My contention is that there is much information coming to us from a higher consciousness both
in sleeping dreams and in waking reality. I think that the unavoidable life situations
that hit us over the head are just as much from higher consciousness as the subtle synchronicities
are. Just like sometimes our dreams give us straight forward information without any deeper
meaning or sometimes they only give soft hints with dream symbolism. I guess that's the nature
of the higher consciousness, sometimes subtle sometimes abrupt. If you trust the flow of
life you can accept what is happening in the present moment and trust that it serves your
overall purpose for being here. Which in a reality where everything is consciousness,
must be about affecting that consciousness, because nothing else really exist except consciousness
giving itself experiences. You might be thinking, "What do dreams and reality have to do with
consciousness giving itself experiences?" If you watch the next segment of this episode
