So we are going to try running. Twelve and a half thousand feet.
On your marks five, four, three, two, one (horn sounds).
This is Gesar Mukpo, speaking to you from Halifax Nova Scotia.
A few short years ago the Sakyong started long distance running.
In 2003 he ran his first major race, the Toronto marathon,
successfully fund raising for the people of Surmang.
While leading a year round teaching schedule,
the Sakyong has made timing for the extensive training it takes to run marathons.
He has training in Tibet, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, India,
as well as Europe and South America.
Most recently Rinpoche ran 50 kilometers in the heat and altitude of the Rocky Mountains.
His commitment and exertion permeate everything he is involved in.
Please join me supporting my brother, by contributing to his run for Shambhala.
