Today we are going to make milk powder sesame burfi.
Sesame powder burfi is as good as compared to mawa burfi.
So come, let’s prepare milk powder sesame burfi.
Ingredients required for making milk powder sesame burfi
Sesame seeds (Til) - 1 cup or 150 grams
Milk powder - 1 cup or 130 grams
Powdered sugar (Cheeni) - 1 cup or 180 grams
Milk - ½ cup
Butter - 4 tbsp or ¼ cup or 60 grams
Cashew nuts (Kaju) - 15 to 20
Pistachios (Pista) - 1 tbsp
Green Cardamom (Chhoti elaichi) - 7 to 8
To make milk powder sesame burfi, first we’ll roast the sesame seeds.
Add sesame seeds in preheated pan for roasting.
Stir constantly and roast on medium flame until seeds get little brown in colour and pop up.
It is important to keep stirring the sesame while roasting, otherwise they’ll burn.
Our sesame is roasted and now fluffy.
The colour of the sesame seeds has changed.
Don’t over cook the sesame seeds as they will turn bitter in taste.
They are fluffy and the colour has changed. This means that the sesame is roasted.
Our sesame is roasted and ready.
Now cut the cashew nuts into tiny pieces.
Cut each cashew into 7 or 8 pieces.
Cut the pistachios into thin slices.
Peel the green cardamom and make a powder of it.
Now grind more than half of the sesame seeds. Leave the remaining sesame seeds as it is.
Add the sesame seeds to a mixer and grind.
We have grounded ¾ cup of sesame and have left ¼ cup as it is.
Heat a pan.
Add a little butter to it.
This is unsalted butter.
Unsalted butter is only required to make the burfi.
Once the butter is melted, add milk to it.
Now add milk powder to the pan.
Keep stirring continuously.
Keep stirring and cook till it has a thick consistency.
Cook it on medium or low flame.
Our mawa is cooked and ready.
Turn the stove on medium flame.
Add powdered sugar to the pan and mix well.
Let the sugar mix thoroughly.
The sugar is completely mixed.
Now add the grounded sesame, whole sesame, pistachios, cashew pieces and cardamom powder.
Stir constantly until everything is mixed.
Instead of cashew nuts, pistachios you can also take dry fruits of your choice.
We are making milk powder sesame burfi.

The mixture for the burfi is now ready to be frozen.
We will apply oil on a plate in which burfi is to be kept.
Put the burfi mixture on the plate to set.
With the help of the spoon make the burfi plain and smooth in this way.
Keep the burfi aside for an hour and let it cool.
Once the burfi is frozen, we will cut it into pieces
Cut the burfi into big or small pieces as per your choice.
Take out the burfi from the plate.
Heat the plate a little so that the burfi comes out easily.
Milk powder sesame burfi is now ready to be served.
Very tasty milk powder burfi is prepared and it is made easily.
Keep the burfi uncovered for 3-4 hours, once the burfi is dry, put it in a container and enjoy it for up to 1 week.
