>>Michelle MacPhearson: This widget takes random posts from you blog and lists them
in your sidebar.
It's great for deep linking and cross linking on your site and it provides a little bit
of variety in the keyword density and words that are on your page.
Each page that loads, the Random Posts Widget will display different random posts.
Add the Random Posts Widget
Go to your WordPress Admin dashboard. Click on the dropdown for Appearance and then select
Widgets.
Scroll down your Widgets page till you find the Random Posts Widget and click Add
It will now show up in the list of Widgets in my sidebar (right hand side, in blue)
You DO need to make sure you're in the sidebar in the dropdown list (top right corner).
Some themes have more than one sidebar so you can experiment with them for placement
of your random posts.
I'm going to drag it up to the top, so it will appear at the top of the sidebar, then
I'm going to click the edit button.
I'm changing the default title to use my keyword in the title.
The Post count default is 1, but change that from between 2-5.
For Category, select ignore, because we want it to take posts from all the categories.
Select done, then Save Changes.
Go back to your site and reload (refresh) the page so you can see your random posts
widget.
Now this blog has only 2 posts so far and those posts appear in my Juice Cleanse News:
(Random Posts Widget). As I write more posts, the widget will be able to select from all
of them.
