hi guys today i'm gonna be showing you how to make this simple loofah
and i'm using
size one
worsted weight yarn his usually um...
known as
four
and it says it that this is two point
to five
in the number of the size which is in the u.s standards is a one
that's
but i compare this
thickness with worsted weight and i actually made one with worsted weight and one with
this cotton pac
it's about the same size
so i think you can easily use worsted weight yarn or find some
cotton pac yarn or something that is
about the same thickness as worsted weight yarn
this is the thickness
can see it here
of the...
the cotton which is to me looks just a little less
than worsted weight
so you can use worsted weight or
or something a little thinner than that
that's soft. love this cotton pack yarn
so what you need
is five-millimeter hook
some nice yarn
and some time
first off we're gonna make
a slip knot
and you wanna chain fine
one tow three
four and five
now you wanna slip stitch in the beginning stitch
to form a ring
then you want to chain fifty
so that's one two three four
five six
seven eight nine ten i'll see you back here when you got fifty chains
okay i got my fifty chains
and now i want to take my beginning ring here
and slip stitch
into that beginning ring
and then you want to
chain two
and then you want to do
twenty nine
this chain two counts as the first double crochet
and now you wanna do twenty nine more double crochets inside the ring
one
two
three
four
five, and continue on untill
you've got
a complete of thirty
now i just did my
thirty
double crochets into this
this is what you're gonna be using to hang it from
so just kinda
move that
out the way
and slip stitch in the top of the chain two space
now you wanna chain two
and you're gonna be doing the next two rounds the exact same way
So rounds three and four are going to be done
the same way
you're going to start off
by chaining two
and in that same space
put three
more double crochets
that chain two space does count as the first
stitch
so it counts as having four double crochets in one stitch
now for this next stitch and all the rest of the stitches around, you're going to be
putting
four double crochets in each stitch
and again when you start
round four when you get to the end
you're gonna slip stitch in the top of the chain two space
then you're gonna chain two and then in each stitch here
you're going to put four double crochets
so i'll see you back here when you get to the end of round four
hi guys just wanted to show you sometimes i forget that
beginners watch this as well
that was round three
now for round four
like i told you before
slip stitch into the beginning
the top of the beginning chain two
then
chain two
and then in that same space
put double crochets
the first chain two counts as a stitch
now in the next stitch
you wanna put
four double crochets
and in all the
stitches are around and there will be a lot of them
all the places that you did the previous round you put four double crochets are now
in each one of those double crochets you're gonna have to put four double crochets
this is the last round and you're definitely gonna see it start to
take form
so be patient stay with it and
and i would love to see if you make any of these i'd love to see them on
crochet flower purse page
and if you make it with different kinds of yarn i would love to see the kind of yarn that you
used and how it turned out for you
and when you come to the end of the fourth row
slip stitch to the top and begin chain two
chain one
and cut your yarn
and then
usually its easier if you use a smaller needle
to
grab your yard
pull it down
and then go into these
stitches in front like this
to hide your tails
hide your tail
and then pull it
hide it more if it needs it or just cut it more if you don't feel like it
and there you go
there is your loofah
