It's frustrating when someone asks you to backtrack, and it happens all the time.
First, answer the question.
Now, this may mean that you need to go back to a slide that you've previously covered.
But that's what you'll have to do.
Second, watch any look of impatience, or maybe a tone, an attitude that comes across saying,
"I'm perturbed that I have to go back."
You don't want to let them see that.
Third, take this is an opportunity to reinforce your message.
And fourth, this could mean that you lost your group a long time ago and you weren't even aware of it.
So now's your time to get your audience back again and keep them on track.
