Buenos Aires is huge and can be daunting to first time visitors. But it's not that hard
to get around and has lots going on.
Lets start in Downtown. This is the main commercial hub of activity in Buenos Aires and is also
full of historical buildings of interest. Here you will find many places of entertainment
like theatres and it is also a shopping hotspot.
Closeby is Puerto Madero which is a trendy docklands area with a some nice open spaces
and top quality restaurants.
To the south of downtown is the colourful and vibrant district of La Boca and home to
the famous Boca Juniors football team.
Sandwiched between Boca and Downtown is the bohemian neighbourhood of San Telmo which
has a great weekend street market as well as nightlife.
To the north of downtown is the elite area of Recoleta which is famous for it's cemetery
and cultural centre.
Bordering onto Recoleta is Palermo which is the city's biggest neighbourhood and is packed
with parks, museums, art galleries and markets amongst many other activities.
Further north and other surrounding areas are many other places worth checking out from
the beautiful Tigre Delta to the River Plate football club.
