To become independent is very important when you are in a wheelchair or disabled and this
is how I am able to leave my house every day. I come out my front door...I come to this
door here It's a very heavy door, so.... alright hold that open. and line myself up. The important
part to this is lean forward...even using the ...go slow...using the frame or doorway
to get down. That's how I get out my house. Cause I can walk a certain times I do live
my life in between ability and disability. I have to juggle the two at times so when
I'm not feeling well or not able to walk this is how I get in and out of my car.
So I have to roll up to the car I have to get down. I try to park the car over to the
side because as you can see I have my handicapped spot here. Because I need to be able to get
in the car, so I try to park to the right a bit. I pop a wheelie....Open the car door
and try to get the wheel out the way. Alright. I'm going to do this as fast as I can.
I put my keys here...toss them over to the side. Lock the chair. Use the steering wheel
or whatever means I can use to get in the car. Now because I am able bodied somewhat
I can....Take the seat back....go all the way back....and start to disassemble the chair.
Take the wheel off one wheel...turn the chair around..make sure
that you still have your brake on at the last minute because your chair will roll away and
then what are you going to do? I have the quick release button...press this button here...
(bird chirping) this is the hardest part because its the most annoying ...that's it so..start
the car... (Car engine starts) Pull my seat up, Ready to Go.
