should record with the city either later the same day or first thing the following business
day.
Soon, you SHOULD RECEIVE YOUR FINAL settlement statement from escrow by mail. Be SURE to
KEEP THIS IMPORTANT DOCUMENT; YOU WILL NEED IT TO FILE YOUR TAXES.
For your first mortgage payment, you should receive a payment coupon in the mail from
your servicer. IF YOU DO NOT, PLEASE USE THE PAYMENT COUPON PROVIDED WITH YOUR LOAN DOCUMENTS.
IF YOU chose to have an escrow account for YOUR TAXES and insurance, THESE ITEMS WILL
BE INCLUDED IN YOUR MORTGAGE PAYMENT every month.
YOU WILL RECEIVE A PROPERTY TAX BILL in the mail EVEN IF YOUR TAXES ARE IMPOUNDED IN YOUR
LOAN. But don't worry, THIS IS SIMPLY A COPY OF THE BILL THAT IS SENT TO THE servicer FOR
PAYMENT.
BECAUSE THE RECORDING with the city is a MATTER OF PUBLIC RECORD, IT OFTEN TRIGGERS JUNK MAIL
FROM COMPANIES THAT WISH TO SOLICIT SERVICES.
