>>ANCHOR: RIT students, faculty, and the general public are invited to drop off their unwanted
electronic items on Saturday. RIT along with Maven Technologies is hosting a county wide
recycling event on campus. All you need to do is load up any equipment such as computers,
printers and monitors and then drive to the recycle area that will be set up at RIT. Crews
will unload gear and take the items to be recycled or dispose of them properly. Computer
hard drives will be wiped out or destroyed. The event will also be accepting monetary
donations for RIT’s Student Environmental Action League.
>>TODD WHEATON: You do find a lot of people that come through that didn’t know what
to do with their old TVs and monitors that they have in their basements or spare rooms
and they think it’s great that someone has provided them with that service to help the
community that come by on their spring cleaning routes and whatever and get rid of that old
product. >>ANCHOR: The recycle event is 9 – 1 Saturday
at RIT, it will be located in parking lot G and H.
