Well my name is Leo Renfroe. I grew up in Iowa, I joined the Navy but I always wanted
to get back here to Montana. I spent the time from 1954 till now here in Columbia Falls.
Because I love the mountains and I also wasn’t satisfied just to look at them, I had to be
up in them. When I get some time off from working and get a chance to get out, I got
out. Climbing the mountains, hiked as far as Canada up around and back down. So we’ve
taken advantage of what’s here. I don’t hike as much as I did, because of that I do
my exercise out here on this track. I do that about 3-4 times a day. I’ve known so many
of the teachers and they see me out there and they go, “Hi Leo, How are ya doing?”
And I feel welcome. I walk out and I always view the mountains and I remember, Oh I’ve
been up that draw there, and I’ve been on the other side and come over this way. I do
enjoy it. It makes me feel better and I get limbered up. I’ll sit down there and I’ll
view all the mountains all around. Living here keeps me close to what I like. Beats
being back in Iowa on the farm. I’m 90 years old now. I keep going as long as I can. To
me, care is still being able to exercise. Care is BeeHive Homes.
