What’s up guys, Frazier here for Complex News and today, we’re winding the block
back to 2003.
I rolled into work this morning to see a tweet from Ja Rule that was nothing short of amazing,
reading:
Fun hip hop FACT: @50cent is ***...
And no, he was not hacked.
But it didn’t just come out of thin air either.
In this instance, you might say Ja was...clapping back.
50’s been hitting the press circuit heavy in support of his new movie Den of Thieves,
and Ja’s animosity stems from a comment Fif made while chatting with Big Boi.
Of course, past beefs came up and 50’s co-star Oshea Jackson Jr, of course, made a Ja Rule
joke.
That prompted Big Boy to ask what would happen if the the two centers of one of hip-hop’s
biggest rivalries should, say, bump into each other on the street one day soon.
50 didn’t mince words: “I would put him to bed.”
It was all jokes at the time but when word apparently got back to Ja, he woke up with
both the time and the energy.
He sent out that first *** tweet, and then he didn’t...back down.
“Come on let’s keep it a buck @50cent is my son my student young paddawan lol you
owe me your life boy...I own your soul @50cent EVERYONE sees it now... your my ***!!!
And to all you journalist, bloggers, radio personalities DONT BE SCARED TO ASK @50cent
why did he get an order of protection or did I whoop him out at the studio or did he talk
to the feds... #bitchassnigga
He pivoted from there to making fun of Ferrari F-50 for having only one good album.
His opinion, not mine, shoutout to The Massacre.
Then things took a real left turn with Ja threatening to expose 50 for something he
hashtagged as Ticklebooty...which, to be honest, sounds like some info he can just keep to
himself.
At press time, 50 hasn’t officially responded but a few hours ago on the GRAM he did post
a picture of a groundhog with the caption
“When the checks stop and you go back to the hood, and everybody knows your broke.
it’s not my fault”
Knowing these two, their petty levels and the time they have on their hands, this probably
won’t be the last we hear of this.
First Mase and Cam, now this.
The hip hop time machine never stops dipping nack.
I’m gonna go bump “New York” and “Piggy Back.”
Den of THieves is in theaters now!
For Complex, I’m Frazier.
