Blake: U of A classes are definitely a lot different from high school, you know, it's
really independent and self-motivated - you know, you don't have to go to class, you
don't have to do your homework, you don't have to study, but
those are requirements of being in college.
Blythe: I feel like in college they expect to you be very independent, and
to ask questions, and to take the initiative to be successful on your own, and
in SALT, they helped me - they don't necessarily hold your hand, but they make sure that you're
doing the right thing, so you can, on your own, be your own person, and be successful.
Nora: You begin to develop, sort of, expectations of your own, and
I think they're higher than in high school.
Bryan: High school tutoring, a lot of it is supplemental teaching, they're trying
to, you know, reinforce some of those ideas and kind of get you to learn things.
Blake: In high school I think it's a lot about just getting the result, you know, you're just trying to
rush through things and get to the homework answer or the test answer.
Bryan: SALT seems to try to help you be able to figure things out on your own, help
be able to do the work on your own.
Blake: At some point, you know, you can take the tools that they have taught you, and
and do it yourself.
