(((Ginna Roe))) Hello, Blugolds. I'm Ginna Roe. This week is homecoming, so we have plenty to tell you about.
(((Jesse Martinez))) And I'm Jesse Martinez. Let's get started. First off, the Blugold football team will kick off its
homecoming game against Stevens Point at one o'clock on Saturday at Carson Park.
(((Ginna))) Go, Blugolds! We hope to see you there! Remember, there's a shuttle for students that takes you to and from
Carson Park. It runs from 11 a.m. until 30 minutes after the game. You can board the shuttle at Towers
hall and on Water Street.
(((Jesse))) Now before the big game, we have a week full of activities.
(((Ginna))) On Friday, put your running shoes on for the annual Friday 5k. The run will start at
Putnam hall and all proceeds will go to charity.
(((Jesse))) Right after the run comedian Eric O'Shea will be emceeing homecoming's Varsity Night Live in Zorn Arena.
Right after the show, the new homecoming king and queen will be crowned.
(((sound of Blugold Marching Band drum line))
(((Ginna))) Game day starts out with the traditional Homecoming parade, which starts Saturday morning at 10. As always,
the parade route runs along first avenue. I know I'll be there.
(((Jesse))) Me, too! And for alumni coming back, Blugold Fever Fest has food and entertainment for you at Carson
Park before the game. And stick around afterwards for the fifth quarter, a post game party that includes the Blugold Marching Band.
(((Ginna))) Well, that's all we have time for today. It looks like we have a pretty fun filled week ahead of us.
To keep up-to-date on news and events, check out our website, uwec.edu, which will include a link to all
