Bruno Mars discography American singer-songwriter Bruno Mars has
released two studio albums, one extended play, sixteen singles , six promotional singles,
and fifteen music videos. Mars began his career in 2009 as part of the record production and
songwriting team, The Smeezingtons. Mars provided guest vocals on the debut singles of American
rappers B.o.B and Travie McCoy in early 2010. Both songs were a commercial success worldwide,
as the former peaked at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Mars released his debut
extended play, It's Better If You Don't Understand, in May 2010, as a prelude to the release of
his debut studio album Doo-Wops & Hooligans in October. The album peaked atop the charts
in several countries and sold six million copies worldwide. It was certified double
platinum in the US, four times platinum in Australia, three times platinum in Canada
and five times platinum in New Zealand and in the United Kingdom.
Proceeding the release of Doo-Wops & Hooligans, two singles "Just the Way You Are" and "Grenade"
were released, both reached No. 1 in several countries, including the United States, Australia,
Canada, Ireland and the United Kingdom. These are among the best-selling singles of all
time, having sold 12.5 million and 10.2 million copies worldwide, respectively. In 2011, it
was released a third single, "The Lazy Song", peaked in the top ten worldwide, with sales
of 6.5 million copies. As a result, it is one of the best-selling singles of all time.
Two additional singles—"Marry You" and "Count on Me"—were issued from the album, and achieved
moderate commercial success. During the Doo-Wops & Hooligans period, Mars recorded a single,
"It Will Rain", for the film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, included
in the soundtrack of the same name. The song was a commercial success worldwide, peaking
at No. 3 on the U.S. In the same year, he appeared in a number of worldwide successful
collaborations, including "Lighters" with Bad Meets Evil, "Young, Wild & Free" featuring
Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg, a single for the Mac & Devin Go to High School sountrack and
"Mirror", a duet with Lil Wayne. Mars released his second album, Unorthodox
Jukebox, in December 2012. It followed in the steps of its predecessor, reaching the
top ten in several countries. Unorthodox Jukebox has so far been certified platinum in the
US, three times platinum in Australia and two times platinum in the Canada, New Zealand
and UK. The album contained the hits "Locked Out of Heaven" and "When I Was Your Man",
both reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the top ten worldwide. The third official
single, "Treasure", became a top five hit on the U.S. and Canada, as well as peaking
in the top fifteen of other multiple countries worldwide. In addition, "Gorilla", released
as the fourth single, failed to achieve the same commercial success as the previous singles,
it's highest peak was at No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100.
